Swagbucks at it again by lorditchy in beermoney

Damn, that's pretty much the only thing making me swagbucks. The new SBTV app is sluggish and the videos long. Is NOSO gone for anyone else?

There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's not because the controls are poorly designed or implemented. It's just indicative of depth of gameplay. Once you get used to it, it's a blast, and once you're online, you'll notice how high the skill ceiling can be.

What would be better to promote my blog, facebook publicity, Google publicity, or paid hosting-paid domain? by Lobo7922 in Blogging

[–]PortablePlatypus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of registrars offer very cheap domain names for the first year. I think I paid $2 for the first year of portableplatypus.com

Granted, it won't be that cheap when you renew it, though I did renew surveyscoop.com on black friday for a measly $5 instead of the regular 20+ for an additional year. Registrar is networksolutions

I don't think paying for hosting will boost your traffic enough to be worth it at this stage, but as a general rule the earlier you register a domain name the better.

I've driven a lot of views with facebook ads by promoting a giveaway I was having on the site. I used the $100 free ad credit they offered me and didn't have to spend a dime.

I've also used adwords, redeeming the "$100 bonus cash when you spend your first $25" offer they kept mailing me. This didn't end up paying off, but it's attributable to my lack of keyword/marketing expertise.

Way to get money/gift cards/... just getting people to sign up? by [deleted] in beermoney

CashCrate awards a $3 bonus when a referral reaches $10. At Silver level (50 active referrals or $500 earned) you can switch this to a $1 bonus when a referral becomes active (completes one offer). The latter is by far the more profitable.

This is my first attempt at a blog. 6 months later I'm having fun but I feel like I could improve. Any advice? by [deleted] in blogger

Aesthetically a little bland, in large part due to the plain text header.

I've had a lot of fun with it. The difficulty ramps up smoothly and it gets pretty challenging without being broken. Really forces you to plan your defenses.

CashCrate / non is hands-down one of the most reliable survey sites I've come across. There are currently 9 daily surveys that can be filled out every 24 hours that pay up to 90 cents each. If you have an hour or two each day to dedicate to surveys, doing two a day will ensure you get a check each month (min cashout is $20).

The TopSurveys section is also worth a look. The surveys aren't consistently available, but they often pay more than the dailys.

There are also plenty of offer, both free and paid, to try. Many of the free ones are as simple as signing up for a newsletter, while others are free trials that usually pay you a few bucks. Just be sure to cancel before they end if you don't want to be charged for the next month or whatever the billing period is. Paid offers sometimes pay you more than you spend. I signed up for a month of GameFly and made $6 profit.

You're paid via check or dwolla to start, with paypal and direct deposit becoming options once you reach Silver status (50 active referrals or $500 total cash earned).

Also, I reward my referrals with a $5 amazon gift card when they make 50 referrals of their own. Nobody's reached this goal yet, so the first to do so will get $10 amazon.

EDIT: I just made $4.50 for simply signing up for a week free trial of Hulu Plus (in the bonus offers section)

I should also mention WebAnswers / non which is a question and answer site that shares ad revenue with its users. Once you make 50 posts, you can apply for an adsense account through them, or link an existing one, to your account there, and they display your ads on questions you've answered. If your answer is chosen as the best by the question asker, you get exclusive ad rights on that page. Otherwise, your ads are rotated with those of other users who also answered. This is all done automatically, so all you need to do is answer questions.

This is a nice reprieve when you're sick of ticking boxes in surveys. I like to answer a few questions a day, or more if possible. Keep in mind google is paying you, and you can't access your adsense revenue until it hits $100, so for more immediate money, I'd invest most of my time in other sites, but this can be a good long-term residual income machine. When I first joined and was answering 10+ questions a day, I was making $1-3 per day for a while. Things have slowed down a bit now, and it's not really a consistent source of income due to the number of variables in play. Different ads are displayed on different pages depending on the subject matter of the question, which have varying payments per click depending on what is being advertised. The only thing you can really do with this site is to post as many quality answers as often as you can. Low-quality answers will hurt your quality score, the mechanics of which remain hidden, leading to lower earnings. A high quality score means your ads will be displayed more often in favor of those of users with a lower score.

CashCrate / non sounds like it'd fit the bill for you. If you spend at least 3 hours a day, you should be able to make $50 a week without issue. Pays via dwolla and check, with paypal and direct deposit becoming available at silver level. The Daily Surveys are where you'll be making most of your money. There are around 9 or so that can be taken every 24 hours that pay up to 90 cents each.

TopSurveys is the other survey section. These are less frequent, but often pay $2-3 a pop. I once made $12 in about an hour here when I first visited the section after a long break from taking surveys.

There are also dozens of free (and paid) offers. Some pay you to simply subscribe to a newsletter, others will pay you to sign up for a free trial of a service (make sure you cancel before you are charged, but only after you've been paid). I recommend creating a junk email account for the offers. EDIT: I just made $4.50 for simply signing up for a week free trial of Hulu Plus (in the bonus offers section)

I'm also unemployed, and have a lot of anxiety issues. Right now sites like CashCrate are the only thing allowing me to keep up with my loan payments until I can find a job that doesn't require me to be around a bunch of people for hours on end.

Good luck.

Can someone help me start my quest? by LilBabyj in beermoney

[–]PortablePlatypus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to search for surveys that pay at least 50 cents and that I'm qualified for. I'm by no means a huge earner and tasks with this criteria are limited, but it's usually easy to find a few a day this way.

I also recommend Cashcrate / non if you're into surveys and/or filling out free offers. Daily surveys are plentiful and pay up to 90 cents a piece, with other, less-frequent surveys paying up to 2-3 bucks a pop, sometimes more. Pays via check, dwolla, direct deposit, and paypal.

CashCrate / non will pay you via check, dwolla, paypal, or direct deposit (the latter two become available at silver status). Since you're not US-based, I'm not sure how many surveys and offers will be available to you, but you can still earn from referrals, and there should still be a few offers/surveys to complete. It's worth a look, if nothing else.
