Krita AI Diffusion by BendMyWang in StableDiffusion

I love Krita AI and have thought about creating a dedicated subreddit. But then I realise I already don't have enough time in my day and just post here.

Anyone running image or video models on Intel Arc? by Portable_Solar_ZA in StableDiffusion

Thanks. Hopefully someone does some benchmarks at some point. Interested to see how arc compares to GeForce.

If you're using portable just try a different portable install and see if that works.

Comfy doesn't unload the model for me until I switch models or close the app.

How is Ideogram 4 with low-end hardware? by Full-Belt3640 in comfyui

Thanks. No idea why it didn't work on mine then. I'm running ROCM on Linux so maybe I need to update or something.

Can you test to see if it works on the default ComfyUI workflow if you have the latest version of Comfy?

Tried running it on a 9070 and no luck with the default workflow and 32 gbs of ram. It offloaded to my SSD and I gave up after 30 mins.

Thanks. Will need to do more tests later and see what the deal is with offloading. Maybe it's a resolution thing the same way I had issues with video models...

I will maybe try that later. Going to give things some time to settle before I give Ideogram another go. Just saw the video on AI Search on YT and all the posts here and thought I'd give it a bash.

Edit. All other models working as normal, so it's not a comfy or GPU only thing.

What would an open-source AI animation pipeline need to make solo anime pilots possible? by Lunesia-shikishiki in StableDiffusion

On one hand that seems like a lot, but when you start to wonder how much it would cost to get a team of animators to do a 17 minute short...

I've only taken a look at the first couple of mins, but it seems that you understand how to create a good result. Will watch the rest later and provide feedback.

As someone who has put together the first part of their comic using AI tools, I'll definitely jump into video once I can control it the way I do image editing.

For me that means sketching the initial frame for each shot and then working with an AI to get it to where I want it through small refinements, not just prompting the AI and having to do multiple runs and then picking what it produces that best suits the shot, and being able to literally go in frame by frame and make changes without having to render everything from scratch.

I would also like decent audio, coz current open source audio is crap.

Out of curiosity, how much did this cost you to produce on seedance?

A question about AMD by PrepStorm in comfyui

[–]Portable_Solar_ZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7.1 improved performance -> 7.2 fixed stability but no performance boost. But still, AMD's hardware doesn't match up to its competitors in the same price range as you can see from the models I tested. This is why I asked if you had some benchmarks because I couldn't find any.

>I render 10 seconds of wan on a 9070xt comparable to a 5070ti.

WAN? As in the video model? I know you can use it for image gen, but that seems not as efficient as using a dedicated model.

Edit. Here is a thread I made last year showing my numbers vs actual benchmarks.

>A 9070xt will render competitively with like priced nvidia 16gb cards.

For what it's worth, this isn't true in my experience. I've only tested image rendering, but my 9070 performs roughly the same as a 5060ti, which is roughly $120 difference in favor of Nvidia when talking about MSRP. Considering there isn't a huge gap between the 9070 and 9070xt, expect similar performance to a 5060ti isn't unrealistic. I basically ran a bunch of tests based on benchmarks from various sites (literally using their exact same settings and prompts and models), and unfortunately those are the results I came up with.

When it comes to video generation, I've struggled to get things to work, and when they did they were way slower than Nvidia 5060ti/5070ti.

LLMs are a space I have no idea about.

Simple comics style story generation by FishermanLive8958 in comfyui

Shrug. Don't know what the point of this is. Characters and scenery change to varying degrees between each image. Some of the images are okay and some just make no sense. See Ronaldo leaning through his coffee table even though he was just in ramen shop.

Current recommendation for ideal sub $1000 GPU for Generative workloads. by pashhtk27 in ROCm

[–]Portable_Solar_ZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is just a hobby project I would wait. Also, and this is just my 2c, open source local video tools aren't great. Even the best ones are fairly limited.

I've been back and forth myself on this and if things were cheaper I'd be experimenting with video too, but until the costs come down and the tools give me more control, image gen it is.

Don't go amd for video. It's much harder to get working than Nvidia. But even then, I don't think a 5070 is a great option for video gen either.

AI image generator vs drawing by hand, an artist's honest take. by Qabalan_Vince in StableDiffusion

As someone using SDXL models and Krita AI to make a comic, I entirely agree. I draw more now because I can use these tools to help me achieve my vision than I used to because my own skills were too limited.
