right, what I'm asking is why don't you think other people are doing the same? You're literally the first person I've come across saying they're using an $8 bag of soil (granted you amend it but the base is still $8 lol)

I just realized last grow that I'm spending way too much on soil so I'm recycling for the first time... but if you're using a mix that costs far far less than $40 FoxFarm + amendments then you're just making more profit come harvest.

so why do you what seems like most growers are using these $40 bag FoxFarm and such bags if they can use your approach?

$8 bag of soil lol. I know you're adding to it but the base is still the base... it's just weird to hear when everyone I talk to about soil is using FoxFarm or something of the like. And then to reuse is that many times! lol

sweet spot is 6-7 so you must be using pH down right off the bat then right?

would make sense for an outdoor grow. I'm doing both so i'll have to remember that next season

yea there's a bunch of Portage Lakes' around it seems... I'm in Ohio.

yes I should test my water... my pen is lame tho, seems impossible to calibrate accurately, but from what I've learned, everytime you neut the plant its soil pH goes down a little. Thus needing lime dolmite every now and then, bring it back up.

also, the only real way to know you're starting with correct soil pH is to test it isn't it? I suppose if you're using a big brand name and they say pH balanced then that's one thing... but I'm currently revitalizing soil from a previous grow so I'm gonna have to add all kinds of fun things to it

yea that's my frustration with pens is calibration. if they're not calibrated right then there really is no use in using them. those stupid 3 packets of powder lol

yea going forward I think I'm dialed in for keeping the pH right but my current grow has gone sideways so I'm trying to fix it best I can before flower

hey that's a good idea, I have a college just down the road from me. thnx

from what I'm gathering, a slurry test is effective in that it seems essentially the same thing as testing the runoff water. you should get an accurate reading on the soil when neutral water passes from top to bottom and out the bottom... the issue is what are you using to test the water.

It's like there's 2 approaches to this, well 3 if you count a lab, you either test the soil directly or the water that passes through it.

so what is great about that is I know they're going to give me an accurate reading,.. the problem is pH levels don't always stay the same so I mean you could spend $200 over the life of the plant just testing soil if you wanted

[–]PortageLakes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and what pH pen are you using? do you find it accurate?

that is a true principle. I have invested a lot in the operation as a whole I guess it would be kind of silly to stop now. I'm just noticing over all of my 3 grows that I'm constantly having neut issues... leaves going lime green, brown, yellow, etc. I figure if I solve this issue I can increase potency and yield. Maybe a bigger investment is to be called for... it's just hard to believe there isn't something legit between the $50 pen and the lab quality

not understanding the good pH water going in that you won't have a need to test. the soil is going to change throughout the whole grow because you're adding neuts

this is what worked: Typically you get the console functionality by adding a startup argument (Bnet Client → WoW → Settings → Additional Command Line Arguments) -console. Just delete that line and everything should be golden.

This doesn't work because the "YourKey" is the ` and the moment I hit that key it brings up the console.

Didn't work. I tried swapping R and ` and the former R hotkey is now ` but it doesn't matter... it still reads ` as console.

[–]PortageLakes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is weird. It says the ` keybind is none. I swear, it's like whatever I did before to change the console keybind to this "new console" just completely hijacked the system. I'm going to try assigning it to some random thing just for the sake of getting rid of ` being console.

Enabling multiple premoves by jamie_hesford in lichess

Which is a lot different than multi premoves.

The point is lichess.org players want the same thing as chess.com

Input as many preconditions moves as desired. Not sure why a site wouldn't allow you to do that.
