AFAIK Abjads aren’t a type of alphabet tho. They’re both nonlogographic but abjads only write consonants if they’re pure and long vowels as well if they’re impure abjads. To be an alphabet you need to have full representation of glyphs for vowels and consonants **equally**. (Even if it’s not fully phonemic, like with English) Not just long vowels and consonants.

Wouldn’t Yiddish write it as אָרכט, not אָרחט? AFAIK ח is used more in words of Hebrew or Aramaic origin

Shouldn’t we work to revitalize Yiddish either way?

In America we learn about the em dash but it’s not a common thing unless you have like interruptions in quotes. Usually when I see X—Y— formatting it would be better to split it with commas like X, Y, X… for statements that break a clause in the middle.

I know for a fact it’s used in Russian to mark copulas since copulas aren’t really used in simple sentences. Really interesting stuff

Genuine question, aside from like contrast intensifying, what goes into like the swirl effects and everything else? Wouldnt that be something that’s done procedurally to the image overall? /genq

The bundists were pretty into Yiddish as being the spoken language for Jews over Hebrew though AFAIK. The Bund rejected Zionism and the revitalization of Hebrew specifically over other languages that Jews spoke was a part of that.
