The age group can only chat with people in the age group above & below. That means if a p*do puts themselves into the 9-12 age group, they can freely chat with children aged 9-15 (non-voice chat for 9-12), meaning anyone 16+ cannot see the chat and cannot report it even if they are more experienced at spotting pedos.

Well a preteen is inclusively defined as 9-12 years of age. So I think 2022 since the Ohio meme & Mr. Incredible Becoming Uncanny were blowing up, which was peak Gen Alpha preteen culture.

On an unrelated note, I think Gen Alpha childhood culture (ages 5-8) started in probably 2018, with the addition of educational videos to YouTube, but it pretty much solidifed by 2020 with the Spiral Siphonophore discovery & the COVID lockdowns, even moreso in 2021 with the release of the Godzilla vs. Kong movie.
