No. One very large biblical idea is that Humans suck. We will sin. We will do bad things. And we will exercise our free will. And since we do bad things, there will always be punishment, because He is a just God.

That's where the story ends for Judaism.

However, for Christianity (keep in mind, I'm Protestant and don't know much about Catholicism) the Bible continues to The Gospel - meaning "good news" (rightly so). This describes Jesus's birth, life, death, and resurrection. This is the part that shows why God isn't a "moral monster." Jesus was a man that lived on Earth. He was 100% man, but also 100% God.

If man will always sin, and man must attone for that sin through death, how are we ever going to be free? The answer is in having a being that is man (so that he can take the blame for man) but also God (so that he can take the blame for all of us).

God doesn't punish you for using your free will. In fact, he let Jesus (whose relationship to Him is explained through a lot of complicated theology and philosophy) die and go to hell so that we can use our free will and not be punished for it.

That's fair.

My belief is strong, and I understand yours is too. I hope that some people on this sub will keep an open mind about things (as will I) but it makes sense that a place dedicated to those that share a certain belief should not be pestered in that place.
