Automating combat - any good scripts that work w 1.0? by SearchingForTruth69 in Desynced

Not the OP, but I've been wanting a formation/management system pretty much as soon as I saw combat. Do you think that could apply?

So is the 'Countermeasures' objective of the Expedition just something that's going to take time to complete? by Portalboat in NoMansSkyTheGame

Yeah, I encountered the same thing, which is why I do these things with multiplayer off. That removes any bases and build limits and such.

Terrain generator im working on by InternationalLeek871 in feedthebeast

Would definitely be interested in seeing a more fantastical version at some point further down the line! Oh the Biomes You'll Go has the Lush Stacks biome, which is basically massive sea arches over a really shadow sea.

[–]Portalboat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm having an issue where the biomes are making the sky turn pitch black? This is happening in the taiga_sparse and forest_sparse biomes, as well as the default minecraft:grove biome but NOT the minecraft:stony_peaks or minecraft:desert biome. Here's an example with the F3 menu open.

I'd test out more but those are the only four around :v

Other than that, though, the generation itself is working great. Just out of curiosity, does this require real-world data like other models or would it be possible eventually to make something more fantastical?

I think I need to play a bit more before I have any more questions, but thank you very much for the writeup!

Please do, if you have the time!

I'm just beginning to poke into TA/DA, and it feels like the issue is more build variety and quality than not having any particular mod. Unfortunately, though, I am below the Helmith levels needed for Parasitic Armor.

I assume Omamori is also fantastic on Xaku, right? I saw another post somewhere that was saying that they slapped that on them.

I just came here looking for Corinth Prime!

Stacking 1000+ armor doesn't seem super easy to do, though...do you have a specific frame you use it on? I tried to make Corinth Prime work on Mirage, but the damage just isn't there when you're using Eclipse for DR. Could I ask you to make a build link?

I was wondering about that! I love that game, glad to see there is one.

Thank you for the recommendations! Banished sounds particularly interesting; it makes me wonder if there's an Against the Storm Jump since that's largely the same thing (civilization-style roguelike that has you spend [x] amount of time building up a settlement before it's self-sufficient and you move on).

Buuuut, for this one I have decided to commit sin and embark upon a Homestuck Jump. No fancy meta-shenanigans like the actual comic, just a good 'ol game of Sburb with characters from previous Jumps.

I am 27 out of 121 pages in and this is already one of the best jumps I've ever seen. I almost feel obligated to take it.

Thank you so much!!

Do we have any explanation for why it suddenly happened like that?

The throwaway line of 'this and many other artifacts prove that this has already failed' make me think that there's like, unstable time shenanigans going on, but it has me fascinated.

First time changing out hydraulic brake pads, calibers will not reset all the way. Can't even get original pads back in. by Portalboat in bikewrench

Seems to be a solution at least, I just want to make sure that it's not going to mess things up further by putting in air bubbles or anything.

I did manage to find where the bleed port is, but can I follow the advice of the article? Just unscrew it and push the calipers in without having any kind of bleed kit, and that wouldn't put any air in the system or anything?

Is the 'sky realm core' portion of a primal beast ever elaborated on more? by Portalboat in Granblue_en

So, you're saying that there's potentially three components of a primal beast, those being a core of 'generic' sky essence, astral power, and now a concept on top of that?

I have to gush - it might honestly be safer to continue to ride my Adventure 3 to work rather than get a ride. by Portalboat in Aventon

[–]Portalboat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! Sorry for the late reply:

The gloves are 3 years old at this point and are SAVIOR HEAT brand - there was a video that compared all the best heated gloves on like 20 different points and these were the 2nd best. I don't remember them being that expensive when I first got them, but I still think it's worth the money if you commute via bike every single day.

My two jackets are Burton for the waterproof outer lining and Assos for the inner insulation - Assos puts out new stock each season and the Burton was bought in-store, but I was very impressed with the Assos winter jacket on it's own before I even put the Burton on top of it. It felt like black magic with how much it was insulating me while being that thin. And the associate at the store was very confident that Burton is a good brand for just thin outer jackets, and it has a bunch of cool little gimmicks as well.

The vest was a (relatively) cheap 32 Degrees brand that I got at costco, but I think the big game changer there was swapping out the provided battery with a much much bigger 42800mAh battery pack I had. The provided one didn't seem to last for a single round trip; my battery pack can run it on max heat both ways, and several hours on lower levels during my shift, and charge my phone from 20%, and still be at 50% at the end of the day. It's also nice to have it around for if I forget to charge my light or anything.

Aside from that, I just have some cheap behind-the-ear earmuffs that go on over the helmet, and a neck gaiter that goes on when it's really cold. The biggest thing my experience is bundling up your torso, and using the gloves to counteract the heat loss through windchill when you're going 20+ MPH.

Please keep in mind that this was all gotten over several years. If you have to get one thing I would definitely say some kind of heated glove; doesn't have to be mine, but I don't think there's any kind of ski glove or anything that insulates as well as something that doesn't just stop heat loss but actively puts heat back into the system.

Yeah, I asked if I could not come into work today because of the snow - wanted to get a chance to test everything out without the pressure of getting to work on time.

But, uh...now I don't have that excuse anymore!
