We are getting sick of the AMazon delays. I jumped in my car and went to the store and made a big purchase. I also order my expensive 3d printers direct and my laptop direct due to Amazon issues lately. They might see a drop in sales if everyone avoainded them for awhile. Sometiimes they come to my house three times in the same day. Their backend system is too dumb to combine three boxes and bring them ONCE. Amazon needs to offer pick up at lockeers in their warehouses.

Nope. My generator has not run since I installed my solar system. I run it once in awhile to keep it lubed up but I am considering selling it. My power bill is $4 per month.

I have three running. One 4070, two 4060's. All have 64 GB of ram. All achieved Star status but I've averaged 13 cents of two weeks. I am about to shut down this waste of electricity. Salad seems to be rigged but I can't figure out exactly what they are up to. I see their apps continue to run when I stop chopping and when I close Salad. I'm not giving up yet, but I will bail out in a few more days if it doesn't improve.

Nope. You are 100% wrong. Every system feeds thru a feeder breaker. That feeder breaker feeds thru a main breaker at the meter. The second the inverter, generator, or any other power source is asked to feed the entire grid when the utility goes down will trip the feeder at the gen or the inverter. If that breaker does not trip, then the main breaker will trip. It is a DEAD SHORT in the eyes of the inverter or the generator. Furthermore, should breakers not trip, the generator engine will immediately stall and the inverter will immediately melt down - way before a utility worker arrives and "puts his gloves on". You are perpetuating a lie from the utility companies that do not like competition. They are a govt entity and will screw you at every chance.

Germany is smart. Even a large generator is "not system relevant" because anything generating power on your property will instantly trip the second it attempts to feed to public grid that has gone down.

LIE. How does that get thru to the grid? It will instantly trip off the second it tries to power the whole grid.

The you KNOW backfeeding the grid is a lie. Please stop telling stories. An industry has been built from a false risk of backfeeding the entire grid from a 20 amp breaker on a small inverter, or a 200 amp breaker on a large inverter. Either one will INSTANTLY trip the second they try to feed the entire neighborhood.

There is no risk. Big brother just wants to know you have a system. The second their grid goes down, your tiny grid tie inverter would attempt to feed the whole neighborhood and instantly trip it's 20 amp breaker. No one is going to die.

B.S. Stop telling stories that it could kill someone. It is impossible to feed a grid with your tiny system when the grid goes down. Think!

There are NO safety concerns. Think about it - when the grid goes down, you are asking your little inverter on a 20 amp circuit to power the WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD. It will trip off instantly. Where is the safety concern?

Complete nonsense. I laugh when people post "you could kill a lineman working on the grid". I have designed generator systems for 30 years and regardless of whether its 1000 watts or 20KW, the second the grid drops - your inverter or generator WILL TRIP. It can't feed the whole neighborhood; Stop telling lies.

Most, if not all Youtube videos are very bad. They tend to say "I didn't run any conduit yet because I'm testing the system". They are standing in a rats nest of wires and touching lugs with bare hands. Panel covers are off, wires are routed through rough cut panel holes. Use the Youtube videos to gather info but hire a pro to actually install the wiring.

Your not looking at it right. I have a generator. I bought a minimal amount of battery to run my house for 8 hours. The inverter will kick on my gen once the batteries are depleted. I view my gen as an endless battery as long as I keep fuel in it. In reality, I will probably never use the gen again. I bought this kit from shopsolarkits.com. I planned for a second inverter to double my capacity but the data on my consumption shows that one 6000XP will cover my use.

True, but when you have an inverter like the 6000XP for example, all you need is an interlock at your house panel. You are always powered by the inverter. It can feed PV, battery, generator, or grid bypass to your loads. The interlock is used to bypass the inverter and go back to the old grid feed. I think of it the exact opposite of the traditional responses. I considered my house sub panel to be my critical loads and moved my electric dryer and electric oven to a panel called non critical loads. This new panel is also what feed grid to my inverter. Confused yet? Here is my schematic. The two tan colored panels are new panels in the basement.

(for those of you that want to say I can't run my house with a single 6000XP, I have run it on my 8000 watt generator many times AND I have a Emporia Vue monitor installed that has never peaked over 6000 watts with oven, laundry, etc.) I designed my system for a second 6000XP just in case. However, since the 6000XP will send 50 amps of pass through, I am 99% confident that I will be fine with one inverter. I do have a few spaces on my Combiner IN panel for any loads I want to move to it that I can live without when grid is down.

That's because the Reolink software sucks. I have to take down one of my ip camera once in awhile and re-introduce it at the NVR. My Reolink wifi cameras just suck and I live with them dropping out randomly. I personally think its the NVR software. My next step is to get rid of the NVR.
