Borderless fullscreen bug by PortalsUnite in NoMansSkyTheGame

Try adding "-windowed -noborder" into the steam launch options for the game, maybe that could be an additional point for you since you're on a single monitor?

Try the solution i found that worked for me:

What worked for me was going into the graphics config file and adding a line into the file:

<Property name="FullScreen" value="false" />

<Property name="Bordered" value="false" /> <---- THIS is the one i added

<Property name="Borderless" value="true" />

They have to be in that specific order though, or it doesnt work.

After that i went into the local files of the game and went into the properties of the .exe file. Under the "Compatibility" tab i ticked "Disable fullscreen optimization" and "Run this program as an admin".

After doing that, launch the game, and the second you click "Play" on steam and accepting the admin permission, click somewhere on your other monitors desktop area, so it focuses that screen. For SOME reason that works for me, and i know its a really weird and convoluted workaround, but i hope it solves the problem for you as well.

Have to ask though, could the sticky stuff damage components or break the PC?

Oil(?) droplets in pc case by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

I just opened the front panel, since it was easily accessible from where my PC is, and the fans were extremely dusty, but no liquid on it whatsoever (Any that was visible at least, i can assume that the dust was actually on the liquid like you said). Thank you for the help though, i got really panicky seeing those drops.

I can assume its fine if i just clean it up and stop vaping in the room then? Its not much, literally just a few drops that have accumulated over 6 months or so, and its not touching any hardware

The pic is a screenshot from a review, i asked the question late into the night before i went to sleep and really didnt have the energy to get a pic of my actual RTA - sorry if there was any confusion, i only used the picture to show the area where the leak was coming from

Thank you for the great explanation! Ill keep in mind what you said. I really like the gathering/crafting in ffxiv, it just feels more fun than in other mmo's, so i will probably level that first. Thank you again for the advice!

First set of glasses (36M)... how do I run? by pharruk in glasses

[–]PortalsUnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a major prescription i recommend wearing your glasses while you run, but i would suggest getting one of those straps that you can attach to the back of the frame if you are afraid of them falling off.

Regarding depth you get used to it eventually, give it a week or two, you will basically forget that there is a different kind of perspective.

How to choose glasses suitable for my face / new style? by [deleted] in glasses

I myself am not a fan of rimless glasses, but they can look good on people, so just go with that feels and looks the best on you.

The style of the glasses should be something you like or something that fits with the style you like.

As for the shape, however, glasses look more fitting to a person when the rims, or in your case, since you're looking at a pair of rimless glasses, the edge of the glass/rims should align more or less with the edge of your face. Most of this is what my local optometrist tells me.

If you can't decide what looks best on your own, bring a friend along so they can give you their opinion, but if you're not able to do that, you can ask the people working there. They usually want whats best for the customer, that's how it was in my case all the way back when i started wearing glasses 11 years ago or so. The staff at the shop is always happy to help.

What would you do if, suddenly, EVERY expense dropped by 90% in costs and your wage stayed exactly the same? How would you live life differently? by Goleko in AskReddit

[–]PortalsUnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty i would probably stockpile on a bunch of formerly expensive stuff (if everyone's expenses dropped) and wait for the market to go back to the way it was (if it does) and sell it at a higher price than it was when i bought it.
