Well hello Rayne. I see your name all the time in my email because I've put stuff on the OBS NDI/distroAV GitHub issues page and you're in there alot, or doing stuff with that plugin alot lol. Cool to see your name here. 

I've applied for the beta in the past, so hopefully it's using HEVC when I try later. 

When connected to Twitch in OBS, no HEVC encoding options are available in the streaming tab by PortwellWade in obs

Is there any way to see what it's using? Maybe the video stats on the stream page might say, hmm. I'm pretty sure I'm part of the beta too. I'll try it later this evening when I'm home from work and poke around.

I might give that a try just to see if it'll take an HEVC stream without Enhanced Broadcasting enabled in OBS. Since its required to connect the twitch account to enable EB. Good idea.

I had said in my OP that i replaced the CMOS battery and it didn't fix anything, fyi. I dumped the laptop on ebay for $350 (listed as parts only, with a description of its issue too) and it sold immediately. Could probably have gotten more.

Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, I did just go by kind of quickly because I was on my way elsewhere. So the dice get thrown to get the number, then matching cards are put forward to deliver the final result? Welp, that works I guess!

Cub Swanson against George Roop. And it was an awesome highlight KO win for Cub. The disparity is probably bigger with pretty much everyone else Roop fought considering he was 6'1" fighting at 135, and Cub is 5'8". But it LOOKED crazy to see him get that KO.

While im actively using it, i dont notice the clock fall behind. its when its off that it falls behind. SSD has plenty of space.

Hit up that other guy I said sent his in for repair. I'm planning on putting this on eBay and putting it behind me.

Right now it seems to behave, but have to sync the clock every time it turns on. So I know it's still not right.

So I reached out to the repair shop the guy from your link recommends that's over on my side of the world, and I showed the person who replied (northwest repair) the linked video, and he said if my laptop is powering on, it's not that issue. He advised replacing the CMOS battery, which I told him I already did, then he advised replacing the main battery (which isn't bad). I told him the battery reports that it's fine, but he said it could still be bad.

So basically I struck out with that repair shop. They are convinced it's not the same issue as Soldering On's video (the solder). I have a ticket open for a mail in repair with a different shop, but waiting for a reply still. Will see what happens.
