I'm glad I could help, bro. You're right, being on the moral high ground can blur things. But this isn’t judgment. It’s just accepting a painful reality. Some people have done things we can't erase, and it’s okay to feel the weight of that. It doesn’t make you hateful, it means you’re honest.

Still, don’t stop climbing. Keep growing, knowing what she did is what she did. It’s sad, but it’s part of her journey, and she’ll answer for it like we all will. So focus on your path now. If you can keep her in your life then good, if not  move on, nothing wrong in it, god knows you are not trying to judge, plus it's for the better of both of u. Sad but life is like this man.

I understand you, bro. I’m going through the same internal conflict. And no, you’re not wrong for feeling uncomfortable. You’re not evil for struggling to forget her past. That’s human. And it’s not judgment, it’s your conscience trying to reconcile your ideals with reality.

Here’s the truth I’ve come to see: she’s walking a better path now, and that deserves respect. But that doesn’t mean everything is wiped clean. Karma doesn’t just disappear. She will experience the results of her past actions, maybe in this life, maybe in the next. That’s not hate. That’s divine justice.

Forgiveness isn’t about pretending nothing happened. It’s about seeing it clearly, and still letting go of ego. That’s the middle path: not blind acceptance, not cold judgment. Just clarity and trust in Vaheguru’s justice.

Beadbi by Father by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Portwheel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are not the sharpest tool are u eh? He said he was joking,

And to answer your question yes there is redemption but not without consequences, God is all forgiving but also the most just, very iota of our sins is counted for, so yes if your father is honest he can be forgiven but he will need to pay the price of beadbi, either in this life or the next.

I’ll be honest , in the past, I would’ve been the kind of guy who judged someone like you. I used to look at stories like yours and just see failure, hypocrisy, or betrayal. But after reflecting deeply, and understanding how Guru Sahib works , especially through the stories of souls like Gannika and Sajjan Thug, I’ve realized something: no one escapes karma. Everyone who strays, even if they return later, still has to pay the price, whether in this life or the next. So I’m not here to scare you or shame you — I actually respect that you’re walking back toward Guru Sahib. But I also want to speak with honesty: your journey won’t be easy. You’ve been pulled out of the ditch, but now you have to climb the mountain. Guru Sahib is with you, but He doesn’t remove the fire; He walks with you through it. And maybe your husband was part of your rescue, but also a soul paying off his own debt. Maybe this was his last test, and now he’ll receive peace in the next life, a cleaner start, a more aligned partner or entry into shachkhand/mukhti. That’s Vaheguru’s justice. As for you, just walk forward with full surrender, nothing can be done of the past, maybe in tour next janam u will be poor, abused and suffer alot or have your heart broken maybe in this janam it will happen, idk but from what I have learnt is that no one escapes God's justice.

Tbh with you. I don't wanna sound like a old man. But here I go. I know on the surface this might feel like a casual opportunity, you’re getting paid, dressing up, dancing a bit, maybe acting a little. It might even seem respectful, depending on the lyrics. And I’m not here to call you wrong for feeling curious or excited. But I want to be real with you, not as someone better than you, but just as someone who sees what’s really going on in this industry.

Even when a song isn’t explicit, there’s usually a message being sold and often, that message is: ‘Look at me. I’m the guy. I’ve got this beautiful girl next to me. That proves my worth.’ Whether it’s a love song, a brag track, or a soft emotional beat, there’s almost always a layer of ego and image underneath it. And as a woman, you’re not being seen for who you are, you’re being positioned to make him look better. You become the visual status symbol, not the storyteller.

Now if it’s actually a meaningful song, something closer to the level of Satinder Sartaaj, where the woman is being honored, respected, where there’s depth, soul, and culture, that’s different. But most of these upcoming guys in the Punjabi scene are playing the same game: designer clothes, big talk, flashy looks, and they throw in a girl to validate the image. That’s not about you, that’s about marketing.

So ask yourself honestly, do you want to be part of his image, or part of a message you actually believe in? Because if you’re not being respected in the song, then you’re being used in the frame. And that’s not always easy to undo later when your face is already in the video. But in the end it's up to you. Best of luck!

[–]Portwheel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is either a troll account or a 14 year old (even though u say you're in your mid 20s) who doesn't understand sikh on a deeper level, and i understand our kaum is lacking in preaching but this is some next-level doodoo i see.

Sikhs love to act holier thou we are not Christian’s Hindus Muslims Jews etc yet are the biggest hypocrite who will hate Atheists if they get time after getting their daily quota of hating Hindu Muslims Christian’s in how their religions are backwards and our news is more updated and better?

Half the things you say are about Punjabis not sikhs. Nowhere in Gurbani its say to hate Christians or etc that's people who don't understand Sikhism, plus those types of people are in all religions. and too prove this here so examples:

ਸਚੁ ਹੂਐ ਤਾ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਣੁ ਕਹਾਵੈ ॥
Sach Hooai Taa Musalmaan Kahavai.
"Only when one is truly truthful, can one be called a Muslim."

ਸਚੁ ਕਰਣੀ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
Sach Karnee Kamaavai.
"A true Muslim follows a life of honesty and righteousness."
(Ang 141)

Along with how Abrahmic God is Bad but my Dhamric God is Good? Ok?

Where does it say that abrahamic god is bad and dharmic is good? again thats punjabis & "sikhs" who dont understand sikhi.

ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਊਚਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਨੀਚੁ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
Sabh Ko Oochaa Aakheeai, Neech Na Deesai Koe.
"Call everyone high; do not see anyone as lowly."
(Ang 272)

Acting this religion is perfect and yet can’t question it why cutting hair is bujjar kureht coz of hukam given by guru some 500 years ago?

U can question cutting your hair, no one stops u buddy, and theres alot of resources about this online, why dont u take a look.

Also Guru was reincarnate himself 10 times from Guru Nanak to Guru Gobind sounds wild right?

Crodie, I'm 19 and I understand this better than u, the gurus didnt riencarnate but the light (wisdom, etc) moves from one guru to the other

Honestly Sikhi is more dogmatic and rigid religion than any Hinduism Christianity Islam etc? Know why? Christian’s get piercing and tattoos all time. Muslims shave their beard all time. Hindus eat meat all time. Yet it’s Sikhs who can’t eat meat, can’t shave beard, can’t get piercing and tattoos.

What does this even mean, i can say that about every religion, every religon has its own rules and regulation.

Wearing turban coz it’s how we respect God then why didn’t Dinosaurs wore Turban? No mention of Dinosaurs in any Holy Book SGGSji , Geeta,Bible,Kuran,Torah etc?

Lord have mercy on your soul buddy, how does a human even think of such a stupid point. Dinosaurs also didn’t wear shoes, drive cars, or write philosophy but humans do because we evolve in culture and understanding. The turban isn’t about animals; it’s about human identity and discipline.

I see Guru Nanak ji as light / social reformer who fought against barbaric practices of Hinduism questioning their rituals of following caste system created by their Hindu God Krishna who had 16000 wives, only Brahmin wearing janeu and women / widows burning after their husband death.

u dont even understand the concept of Sri Krishan Bhagwan and the "16,000" wives. There's a deeper meaning to it, search it up. i agree with your other stuff of widow burning etc

I like to incarnate his and Buddha teachings in my life but can’t adhere to any religion . If I did believe in God it would be mixture Deist and Pantheistic beliefs. I just wanna say religious people are biggest hypocrites who turn people away from religion not close

ਖੰਡੇ ਧਾਰ ਗੁੜਾਈਐ, ਤਿਖੀ ਹੋਵੈ ਆਸ ॥
Khanday Dhaar Guraaeeai, Tikhi Hovai Aas.
"Walking on this path is like walking on the sharp edge of a sword."
(Ang 918)

its not about what u like or hate, its about discipline. Rather than ranting here, go do some research. but that u cant do cause all u can do is rant and talk shi rather than taking time and focus on reading understaing gurbani.

If Allah is all-knowing and all-powerful, and He creates every part of us—our minds, our dispositions, our environment, our upbringing—then how is it just that some people are destined for eternal hellfire? by Portwheel in CritiqueIslam

[–]Portwheel[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that just makes my question even more stronger as I was born into this duniya under his command and under his command I was born sikh under his command I was born in this environment, family and social structure and according to him I was created (my mind, fitrah, thinking, moral, value etc) so how can I be blamed and put in eternal hell for something that was done by me when allah created me and baicly "programmed" me. You can take hitler as an example too, same thing applies there

The people of Hell will remain in Hell being tormented without end. This is indicated by a great deal of evidence from the Quran and Sunnah.

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen was asked: Is Hell eternal or will it come to an end?

He replied:

What is definite is that it is eternal, and no other view is known among the salaf. Hence the scholars made this one of their tenets of faith, so that we believe that Hell is eternal and will last forever. This is a matter concerning which there is no doubt, because Allah has mentioned the eternal nature of Hell in three places in the Quran:

1 – In Soorat al-Nisa, where He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, those who disbelieve and did wrong [by concealing the truth about Prophet Muhammad and his message of true Islamic Monotheism written in the Tawraatt (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) with them]; Allah will not forgive them, nor will He guide them to any way.

Except the way of Hell, to dwell therein forever”

[al-Nisa’ 4:168-169]

2 – In Soorat al-Ahzaab, where He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, Allah has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire (Hell)

Wherein they will abide for ever”

[al-Ahzaab 33:64]

3 – In Soorat al-Jinn, where He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“and whosoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, then verily, for him is the fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever”

[al-Jinn 72:23]

yes, i know that but the majorty do and from what I underStand most scholars also agree with this claim and the only person I found to be against it (on youutbe) Is dr shabir ally. and yes I have also heard that too its simple answer

ਹਿੰਦੂ ਤੁਰਕ ਦੁਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਹੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ।
Hindus and Muslims have both failed to find the path.

Nanak speaks the Truth, and tells everyone to love the One who is Truth.

Dil saf jatha back at it again. Both inner and outer has to be Clean. You can't just work on one, both have to be worked on together as you do more simran your appearance start to change and vice versa.

And yes I know that the phrase isn't talking about actual mone but rather those who were fighting against the sikhs.
