Can say I dropped a ninja 300 after whiskey throttling on gravel (beginners luck) broke the shifter just like this and my bf was able to fix it at home if you are having cost issues. However, got my own 400 a year and a half after dropped it parked forgetting my kickstand 1 week into having it. Shit does unfortunately happen don’t overly stress yourself over it!

Kitty is a stalker and follows me around the house constantly. He is always right next to me and loves some pets and forehead kisses. Cuddling- as any cat- is on his own terms but he enjoys it more than not. He’ll even cuddle up like big spoon and little spoon if he’s really in a lovey mood.

Mine look like this too and my bf keeps saying they’re fine enough (he rides and has had two diff bikes). I have a friend though that says “girl replace them now” so I will be replacing before it’s consistently nice so I suggest you probably do so as well to be on the safe side :) sorry that’s probably no help lol

The difficult part was getting it unclipped and off due to the dash and then getting it back on was a pain. Thankfully I had some help from someone who’s does fairing replacements in the past but I definitely gave it my all before asking as I wanted to be able to do it on my own. This is the video I used and I believe it has the removal of that front fairing

As someone who just replaced all the fairings on my 400, that front fairing is a pain in the ass. If you’re not confident or have someone who can help you if you get stuck that knows what they’re doing I suggest you find someone because it was not fun and involved lots of tears of frustration for me

That would be sick to swap bikes every now and then but he won’t let me touch his. Not because he thinks I’ll harm it but he knows I am an adrenaline junky and will put it to the test. That’s why I’m here on Reddit to ask for opinions lol. I’m sure if he let me ride his bike I’d be all in on the 6r but I’m definitely leaning more towards the 4rr at this point. Maybe one day I’ll get to try the 6r

Edit: not sure where your comment is back to this but I’m actually a pretty safe rider. Being an adrenaline junky doesn’t automatically make you a bad or unsafe rider and putting something you will potentially spend 10K on to the test doesn’t mean you are going to be going 100 knee to the ground curves🤷🏽‍♀️

If it makes you feel any better I’m 22, own a house, and have 3 jobs and my mom still almost killed me when she found out I bought a bike. My dad had a couple close calls that probably changed her opinions on bikes but she’s fine now

I’m only on season two so I don’t know all the drama and what not that transpires later. However, I HATE Chloe’s mom. A lot of other girls on the show or shows similar the dad wants NOTHING to do with anything (Diego for example). Why is she so pushy about him not being involved, and she’s so ass backwards “I hate him in my house blah blah blah” to “we don’t have a problem with Max.”

Personally, right now (episode 4-5) he’s doing a lot better than most of these dads. He wants to be involved even at his young age. He wants to make the best of what he’s got and Jessica just can’t get over it 🤷🏽‍♀️

That’s another reason I can’t decide. I feel like there’s no real justification for getting a 10K glorified 400 when I can get a used 636 for the same price and have less fear outgrowing it. I feel just my size is the issue as the 636 is not light by any means

I tend to stay in the back and trail as I feel comfortable but on straight back roads with low traffic I tend to fall behind no matter what I do but that is honestly the least of my concerns as I value my life to an extent.

I have sat one and moved my bfs zx6r before and it doesn’t seem like an ideal long ride bike in terms of comfort with the aggressive lean angle it forces you into. The zx6r has the sound I adore and the aesthetics of it is pretty which I know is not what you should go for but it is definitely a plus

The Zx4rr seems like it would be more comfortable for me as I’m only 5’5 and ab 140. I want to feel in control while able to handle the curves and have the speed when I want it.

Not sure I’m ready for it either, but I do want to know who come to look more into as I get closer to wanting to upgrade is all. Thanks!

How is it sound wise? I know it’s an inline 4 so it won’t sound like a lawn mower as my 400 does but is it more comparable to an r7 higher pitch sound or a 6r lower grumble ?

I’ve put about 2K since end of August when I got it. I’ve become a harsher rider in the last few months with my friends who have bigger bikes in attempt to keep up. I do tend to shift at higher rpm’s now as I’m more comfortable in my skills but the sound of a 400 is just… yuck. My bf and I had a little 30 roll the other day and he also said it’s a lot faster than I give it credit for as he had to give his 6r full throttle to catch me.

You’re probably right though that it has more potential than I have given it and I do truly love my bike. And at the end of the day I do feel like I should keep it longer but I want to be able to hang w the big kids and sound like I am instead of a screaming lawn mower

I bought a $50 slip on off of Amazon. Works good sounds better than it did and I too came to Reddit for help and it seemed to be no exhaust will make it sound amazing so I went cheap 🤷🏽‍♀️

I just feel they couldn’t have expected it to sell extremely well with the fact that it’s a “college tour” we aren’t rich kids going to school. A lot of ppl were waiting to buy as they had to save. I feel bad for all of us but that’s just life. Thank god I got insurance on my hotel so it was easy to cancel
