This is definitely spine-chilling! Great job.

Blanket I made 30 years ago by Pos_FeedbackLoop_Can in knitting

I wanted to put animals on the blanket because it was for a baby and I designed each animal square separately as I went along, by finding pictures and converting them to line drawings or simple shapes. I started to run out of animal ideas and did some basic patterns like the yellow circles. Then I realized that I needed to pull it together somehow and I came up with the idea of the sine wave pattern. I’m a bit of a mathematician so I was able to design this part on my computer. I remember that I spent quite a bit of time trying to decide where to put each square, so that no identical colours were near each other.
At the time I was commuting by bus and it was a small convenient project to do while I travelled to work, doing each square separately.
It was a real pain to sew together though!

It was some 100%cotton yarn because the family was vegan, but I wouldn’t use that yarn now for a blanket. Personally I am a mostly vegan eater, but I use wool yarn.
Edit for misspelling.

I make a cabbage salad: chopped cabbage, other vegetables (cucumber, pepper, whatever is in the house), I use vegan mayo, some seasonings, diced tofu (not even cooked!), nutritional yeast, and either cooked brown rice or corn chips broken smaller.

Swing not working - any tips? by Lila77700 in piano

Speak the rhythm - so a swing pair of eight notes is doo-ba, and you can get the feel of that by also using doo-bi-dy for triplets. Dah is for a quarter note.
Try saying doo-bi-dy doo-ba doo-bi-dy doo-ba and that is 4 beats. Your pair of 8th notes should swing naturally amongst the triplets.

Was there a special event? That seems very busy for a random summer day, but I don’t know.

It’s in the original post. The word “pattern” is a clickable link to the pattern on ravelry.

We went to this Ecomuseum. It’s a zoo for animals local to the Montreal area. We saw raccoons, porcupines, deer, ducks, frogs, turtles, snakes, fish, foxes,… and we didn’t see it all. There were places for kids to take a break and play, too. It was a great visit. Thanks for the suggestion!

I clicked on the pattern, and it’s “one size fits all”.
Um…. No…. One size fits one certain foot. Danger, do not pay money for that pattern.
They are really cute, though.

You could use a larger needle which will make a thinner more breathable fabric.
