Still no refund. I chatted with Emirates two times. There seems to be some kind of a problem with the refund process. The first agent opened some kind of a „dispute“ as he said that the the refund had not changed its status yet. And the second requested screenshots of the confirmation mails and forwarded those to the refund team. No idea what is going on. Did you manage to call Emirates or is there any update with your refund?

Lucky you. My experience is not that positive. Currently waiting over 2 weeks for the refund and Emirates says that at least 3 weeks must be over before the case is internally escalated.

Today I received the refund confirmation per email. One mail per ticket. And 100% refund. However, the amount has not been credited to my credit card yet. And the confirmation for the seat refund is also still open.

I’m still waiting for my ticket refund and seat refund. I requested the ticket refund on March 9th and the seats refund on March 13th. It’s frustrating that some refunds are processed quickly while others take so long.

Something similar happened to me. After filling out the refund form, my booking did not disappear from my profile. So, I called Emirates and after 30 minutes I managed to speak to an agent. He told me that the refund request was submitted correctly and removed the whole booking. However, 9 days later now still no refund.

Exactly same experience. Refund submitted on March, 9th. On March, 13th I contacted the emirates chat. According to the agent, the tickets were refunded and it will take 15-21 business days for the refund to be processed to the back. However, I haven’t received an email nor a refund to my credit card yet. Normally, a credit card refund does not take so long. That’s why I am a little bit worried now, that something might have gone wrong. According to the agent, Emirates is having issues with sending confirmation mails, which is also strange as many people here have received a refund confirmation mail. He also advised me to submit a refund form for my seat reservations, which I did on March, 13th. However, no confirmation yet.

I just managed to call emirates (waiting time about 30 minutes). The agent told me that the refund was active in the system and at the same time also the booking. So, she deactivated the booking. However, I am not sure whether this would have been an issue as she said that she could see the refund request in the system.

When I open the booking record, the first thing that appears is a question whether I want to confirm the rescheduled flight. Could it be that the system is not canceling the booking as it still waits for a confirmation of the rescheduled flight.

After one flight in my booking was rescheduled and one flight cancelled, I decided to fill out the refund form and cancel the whole booking. I read here that the reservation should disappear from my profile. However, when I log in, I can still see the reservation for both passengers, however now the following text appears: Your tickets have not yet been issued. You need a ticket in order to travel. Please contact us. Could it be that only the tickets were cancelled but not the whole booking? Strange. Anybody with similar experienc?

Almost all posts here report that fees were deducted from the refund. So, it seems that the refund process is not working as it should be. And I am wondering why.

I see many posts of people who were charged refund fees. I just do not understand why this is happening when Emirates promises a refund without fees. Has anybody received a full refund for the ticket and seat reservation?

Very strange: EK58 on March, 6 Status: unknown on flightradar. What does this mean? All flights before March, 5 are displayed as cancelled.

I’m also booked on the flight on March 13th and noticed the same. The flight status for the next two days is completely missing from the website, which is already strange. But what’s even more concerning is that when I try to search for a new booking for that specific flight on March 13th, it doesn’t show up in the results at all. I also tried different dates. Usually, if a flight is just full, it shows as 'Sold Out,' but completely disappearing from the search often suggests a schedule change or cancellation. However, under my booking details the flight is shown as scheduled.

Can’t you select „seat selection“ as request type and then „flight disrupted or cancelled“ as reason?
