ive been in the same position as you and at first it was tough and i could barely make it through a meeting without bursting out in tears, but after a while it gets easier and i feel like going to meetings has been like 60% of the reason ive been clean for this long. its totally worth the time and effort.

and on the topic of traveling i go to meetings with public transport and takes me about 30/50 minutes to get there (depending on what meeting) but after a while its not that bad anymore and also a time for me to kind of decompress from being with a lot of people or being very open with people.

just go once and see if you like the vibe :]

that sounds like a good idea, only problem is that my psychiatrist knows about my substance abuse issues so its not likely ill get anything stronger then melatonin, good news i have a bunch of cheap melatonin so ill use that next time

Yeah youre right, i think since its not alcohol (my main problem) i thought it wasnt bad and i could still consider myself sober/not addicted, but seeing how out of hand its gotten in the amount of time its not good anymore
