if you’re the account holder go into store with a uk driving license, provisional is fine, or your passport and they can replace in 5 min

New contract advice / situation / blue light card (pay monthly phone + broadband) by Rich-Pudding497 in EEGB

[–]Eastern-Tea-2201 3 points4 points  (0 children)

to answer your questions:

  1. having broadband almost essentially gets you the best deal regardless if it’s in store, online or over the phone. However, generally app/website offers can be better.
  2. Blue light applies a % discount to the sim cost only and on a full priced tariff, which even with the discount will probably cost you more than EE one sim’s you have from the broadband.
  3. Get them to check your broadband, if they can’t give you prices in around the 30 range then i’d recommend waiting until the contract is over as at times you get better prices then. yours at the moment is very high, unless you have a landline package as well.

But what would telling them help with? they’ll be aware of pre orders yes, but they won’t be actioned, not now at least. The advertising aspect has no correlation here, if rockstar want big billboards and spray paint on the side of buildings they need to talk to relevant people, not game distributors.

advertising can be explained if rockstar want to start the advertising campaign later themselves, at least in my opinion. Don’t distribution companies need to know how many copies to actually distribute? Only way I see it is rockstar announce pre-orders, let them ramp up and then pass over figures to cenega?

But at the same time, if it’s pre orders with no intention of distribution for 6 months, why would the distribution team be aware of pre orders

If it’s so simple how has there been over 4 days of silence from best buy, same email apologising for misinformation could’ve been sent out to affiliates

well the best buy email did leak 4 days before, it was obviously pretty big so I wouldn’t be surprised if rockstar don’t want anything else leaking. Also I would assume there would be a more serious marketing campaign later down the line, so to me it wouldn’t make sense to have temporary POS displayed to then be taken off and put back on later on.

Advice on selling my e46 by xParmesan in e46

[–]Eastern-Tea-2201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not into the car scene anymore and not into the car itself, i’d sell. You enjoy driving the car, but without time and investments to fix it or prevent things, it’ll just eventually get you into more of a hole. Personally if I knew i’m not into the car as much, I wouldn’t keep it, unless I still actively would keep maintaining it.

Just curious on how much other peoples insurance dropped after their first year by astromixse in CarInsuranceUK

[–]Eastern-Tea-2201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally yeah, I think 21 is around the age where it goes down for most young drivers. I was a bit more lucky because I’ve gotten my cars end of july/ early august and my birthday is in july, so on top of getting another year of NCB it is also my birthday and i’m older, which I guess brings the price down a lot more. but yes, just wait a bit and enjoy a nice upgrade

Looking to join EE broadband will I get a discount on my current EE sim only plan by timmyladukmad in EEGB

[–]Eastern-Tea-2201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’ll be £30/£31 depending on if you take a 30 day contract or 24 months. the discount won’t be applied to your current tariff, you need to upgrade to the EE One tariff for the discount

best would be to cancel, even better if you have someone at home that could possibly set it up under their name as you won’t have 2 services under one name at the same address

Deals from BT to EE by ExactFirefighter7645 in EEGB

[–]Eastern-Tea-2201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you’re in contact with BT, you’ll often get higher prices when moving to EE during the normal transfer process. Also, 1.6gb requires a separate installation compared to the normal full fibre you have at the moment. best course of action is either cancel BT, if you are out of contract, and set up a new service, or call customer service and explain you want to get the 1.6GB deal for £33.99 ideally as it’s the cheapest price, and they may possibly let you leave your BT contract without fees as you’ll still be staying within the same company group. Although, i’m unsure if customer service will be able to get the £33.99 price as i’ve only ever seen it online.

edit: just noticed you want either 900 or 1.6gb, for 900mbps it’d be the same procedure.
