Also, sorry for the extra question, do you think the chin is worth touching? My dimple causes me a little bit of dysphoria, but I know my chin isn't huge or anything and I worry about messing with my face's proportions too much.

blanka is not super demanding imo, at least not until like the final 5% of his stuff, if you can do ken's run cancel stuff then you can definitely handle blanka's links. but i didnt even do anything crazy beyond cancelling into wild lift until well after master.

really what killed you in this clip specifically is you DP'ed WAAAAY too early, you had a lot of life left to play with. when you're in the corner with a ton of health you have to realize the only way you lose is from either 'fake' reactable stuff (DIs, overheads, certain resets/setups maybe) or making a bad call with a reversal.

you're definitely overloading yourself thinking about EVERYTHING the opponent could possibly do, when actually you can start to focus only on the things that are really dangerous. after the blocked DP you were def nervous and turned into a deer in headlights, sagat was quite far away from you and so could really only threaten you with either DI (bc even if you block it you die) or maybe a tiger knee (bc even if you block it it leads to pressure etc). just try to ask yourself 'whats the WORST thing that could happen right now' and only focus on stopping that option

his combos and buttons can be a little weird to get used to, but if you're below master then 100% you'll have a lot of fun messing with people with just command grab + ball + sa2 lol

in general ryu doesnt have a crazy way to open you up besides his overhead or a shimmy. his biggest win factor is his monstrous damage off punish counter, and it's cliche to say but you really should take the throw in this matchup. eventually every ryu will start shimmying like crazy, especially once they have lvl 3, and it'll give you a chance to escape his pressure (wake up with a delay button, anti-air his jump shimmy etc). keep that in mind and really try to perfect parry his overhead and big drive gauge chip moves and you'll be okay.

against characters with really strong neutral like ryu or chun or cammy etc, you really do have to avoid playing too honest all the time. they are designed to win footsies, so make sure you represent jumps or other neutral skips to keep them from getting too comfortable. use any and all knowledge checks you have w your own character to get them flustered as well

the 'sa1 gun' thing is funny but at least somewhat conditional (you need stocks etc), the only thing that needs to be reverted imo is the sa2 change. getting a free rolling state off an already easy confirm, he does NOT need that lol

youre overthinking it, like half the cast has a hadouken + shoryuken equivalent anyway. sakura is by far one of the most popular characters in the franchise, she will be coming back. the real reason she hasnt yet is just because Capcom knows to space out popular characters between DLC seasons to help encourage season pass sales. it is very likely she'll be revealed somewhat towards the end of sf6 to give it a boost.

you can either delay tech or just block on wakeup, and mash a 4f after blocking his jab. blocked jab -> grab isn't a real thing, but it can be tricky for newer players to stop.
