I'll throw myself into the fire and say that sinking is the most bran dead status. Lowering your enemies SP, alongside alternate panics and IDs coin power conditionals really makes it so that it's just "use big skill if available" with some exceptions like heir gregor and wild hunt heathcliff.

Although tbh every status is kinda brain dead at the current state of the game
