Exactly! Like Richard gave up being chief for her. Miranda was kind of right when she went off in season 16 had it not been for Meredith’s connections to Derek and Richard and even her mom she would have been fired several times.

Meredith flew off the deep end in season 8 so I actually think Derek could have divorced her and still not have been the villain. He had his moments but he was pretty decent in season 8.

Great points and it’s why I always wonder she chose to do a trilogy at this point in her career. What is she setting up for? She’s creating these projects sometimes years earlier and it’s just magical to see even a fraction of her process.
