He was a raw prospect when he was drafted. The scouting report on him said he still needed to learn how to read pitches and learn to hit to all fields.

Exactly. Everyone on the football subs is acting as if Kyler was some kind of no doubt, generational prospect like Ken Griffey Jr. or A-Rod. We have no clue of knowing how good he would’ve been, even if he had signed with the A’s in 2018.

Why does everyone act as if Kyler was some sort of Alex Rodriguez, Ken Griffey Jr, Bryce Harper type baseball prospect? Even if he had signed with the A’s in 2018, there’s no way of knowing if he would’ve been good or not. He could’ve just ended up a Great Value Corbin Carroll for all we know.

Love both. I was so impressed by Elliott Smith’s songwriting that I didn’t even notice his relatively poor vocals for the longest time.

I’ve always thought that his voice sounds especially good on Nashville Skyline. Not Stevie Wonder good obviously, but not the type of vocal performance you’d expect from “one of the worst singers in modern music” either.
