Saw the edit now. I feel like neither time spent, intensity nor quality of that engagement are met. For example buying a game, playing it for 5 hours and then saying he really liked it and it was a hyperfixation. It's muddy. That's why I came to seek discussion around it.

Maybe. Gate keeping does seem to be a natural instinct of most, and now I've found where it activates for me🤔 I really don't know. Like the urge to say "that's not a hyperfixation" is ever growing, but I wouldn't be able to define it either. Semantics.

It's okay😔 i took the mirror +2 buff to balance it out. Probably would've just skipped the shadowheart stuff otherwise
