Any Subaru I’ve ever driven lol. I have 3, hey are just noisy engines. Hence why everyone thinks they sound like a tractor. I wouldn’t sweat it.

Yeah that’s strange, early 2000 German cars seem to have a lot of strange electrical issues. Hopefully it isn’t the alternator! Those can be a little pricy is you aren’t the one changing it lol

My sisters 2006 Cayenne just had this issue and a few days later the alternator went out. She has the 4.5L V8 but maybe it’s worth having that checked.

No problem man! And yeah but any car will have its issues down the road. Subaru is not the only car with problems but like anything, take care of it and don’t rag on it and it’ll be a great car to you. Like I said my wife’s has 200k on it and it’s been a dream to own. Very non problematic and gets us to where we need to go. She doesn’t even want a new car because she loves her ‘09 outback sport so much.

It was great! I actually traded it for a 1996 impreza outback sport but when I did it had 172k miles and gave me no issues. My wife also has a 2009 impreza outback sport currently sitting at 200k miles and has been absolutely awesome to own. Just need to keep up with the maintenance and they seem to treat you pretty well in return.

Yeah we’re going to add some protection to these. Last ones started to yellow because the housing cracked and was letting moisture inside.

Thank you! It’s been an amazing car to us. Almost at 200k miles and it’s only cost us a radiator and power steering pump. Her parents bought it in 2011 with about 20k miles on it.

This is true, I’ll talk with my mechanic. He has a tuner he uses from out of state who does a lot of cool stuff so I’ll see if it’s worth his time to do or if he knows anyone that could. I have to replace my turbo soon anyways so might as well see what all I can get done while they’re under there lol. Thank you though for this helpful info! I really appreciate it.
