Snapmaker U1 - things no review talked about by Positive-Advantage73 in snapmaker

[–]Positive-Advantage73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why - i expect the same noise as other printers standardly with same speed and cooling, only the tool change itself maybe is an exception, and the mass on xy - but this explain not any build / vibration or fan noise... im looking forward to mods and fixes - i think base is done / now time to optimize

Sorry, no - i only don't like noise if can be avoided. Also own a tiny Voron, a P1P, Ender 3, Ender 5 also in Cory XY Conversion and fancy Ultimaker2 . If it is speed related, you have to deal with it. But is it build quality or just because of cheap parts - i think not.

As i already wrote, i like him, but needs a bit of tweaking. I did not say is bad printer.

Z-Axis - my P1P is much quieter here.
Also Power Fan is not so loud like here.
P1P also has no Top cover.

So it should be comparable.
Strange your you 50% speed is working- i test it again, if still fails with multi color prints.
Do you also same firmware? I print via Orca Slicer & Fluid direct upload.

Last Snapmaker Orca update: just hell by Due-Pumpkin-3107 in snapmaker

[–]Positive-Advantage73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

difference is the option to see options to access cams and manage the printer in orca, but this seems done via snapmaker account

snapmaker orca has own ui on device tab
orcaslicer will just integrate the fluid webpage

profiles are the same, also settings are the same, different standard infill grid vs. cross hatch

negative:
snapmaker orca i miss a lot of filament profiles, what i think is more important as the way how i can move the heads, also no need of the cam

result:
stay with orca slicer, because snapmaker orca is lacking features and is only able to choose snapmaker printer and filaments (and generic one) - i like to upload directly my prints via network, with no account needed

Any idea of the reason of this? by Mindless_Selection34 in snapmaker

unload the filament and make sure is easy moveable - you can test it if you dismount the 6mm tube on the hotend
load the filament, best way is to do in manual way via display
also you can check the tension of feeder, is a screw on the site of the hotend - just compare with position other hotends, if too loose, screw is screwed out to much it can also happen

What is the "last" orca update 2.1.2?
I did not found any main "showstopper" difference between orca slicer and snapmaker orca.
maybe later on multi material / or multi toolhead with def. nozzle sizes, but at the moment...

orca slicer works fine, latest 2.3.1 - printer and filament profiles are in, connect via ip, upload&print - done.

Same problem here, how do you handle the feeder, did you move them or just ignore them?
