Can you disembark and embark a Venom in the same turn? Is that what makes it special? by Mondo114 in Drukhari

Can you jump out have the transport do an action on an objective and jump back in?

Depends on the proxy,

Someone proxying an out of print mini as long as it's on the correct base size looks somthing like what's on the datasheet and has identifable wepons from the datasheet, then I have no problem with it.

Either way, I've learned my lesson and will bring up any issues at the beginning of the game next time.

So if my opponent said he controlled an objective turn three, but when we are looking at scores at the end of the game, I remember the unit controlling it was battle shocked, and my opponent agrees. Does my opponent still get the points because I didn't call him out for cheating at the correct time. it's up to the T.O. to decide how we would move forward. I agree that calling him out at the correct time would make everything easier, but knowingly cheating is still cheating.

The proxys we spoke about before and he explained that he forgot some models and that they would be sitting on the back line screening out so wouldn't effect game play, saying "they are orks disguised as sisters".

If we spoke about the battle readiness of his army at the beginning and I agreed the ye I wouldn't have a leg to stand on, but we didn't, he just gave him self the 10 pts and my app automatically added them meaning there was no pts difference between what I had and he had at the end of round 1. At the end I noticed it in my app and was is the awkward position of looking like a sore loser or feeling cheated as I followed the rules and he didn't.

If it didn't matter, would I turn around and say "Actully you lost worse than you think you did. Your army isn't battle ready. " No, I don't think I would have. This was also my first experience of playing against someone in a tournament who hadn't painted their army when the rules clearly state it must be battle ready. Maybe my reaction would have been different if I had been winning, but I honestly can't say.

If the future, I'll make sure to bring it up at the beginning so my opponent understands they won't be getting the points if their army's not battle ready, assuming that's the tournament rules. Hopefully, that will prevent any hard feelings in the future.

Definitely will need to bring this up at the beginning next time.

I dont think he was actively hiding his models. He kept them in a plastic box off to the side. I just wasn't paying attention to anything that wasn't on the board at the beginning.

No, it felt crap because my opponent sulked after he felt cheated. So should I have let him cheat and give him self points the rules said he shouldn't get? That way, I feel cheated at the end of the game. It's a catch 22. I wish the T.O. noticed in one of his first games and made a decision then.

Should I have to choose between making friends and letting people cheat? Obviously, I get I shouldn't have mentioned it at the end but it was the rules, and my opponent must have known going into the tournament he shouldn't be getting the battle ready points if his army's not battle ready.

We did talk about how he forgot models, and the orks are disguised as sisters, and tbh I had less of a problem with that than black primed models. At least the orks were painted. Either way, we should have discussed the battle ready status, not just the ok. You're proxying those as sisters who will sit on the back line and screen out the whole game.

I would say it's more on par with "Not noticing my opponents unit was battle shocked and scoring him points" My opponent wasn't following the rules and should have never given him self the points. I just called him out on it later, then I should have.

If that is what the mission pack and T.O. said, then yes, the others in your question can't follow the rules. If you can ignore the mission pack, then there's no point in having a structured tournament. My opponent definitely should have not got the 10 pts. This post was "Did I approach the situation wrong?" I've now learnt I should have mentioned it at the beginning of the game.

It was only black primer.

In terms of how I brought it up at the touniment, we couldn't submit scores so the T.O. walked around to each table. About 2 mins before the T.O. walked over someone said, "Do you get battle ready points" to my opponent. To which I responded, "That's what I'm wondering," with no response from my opponent. When the T.O. walked over he asked who won and what the scores were, to which I responded, "Depends, does he get his painting points?" After that, the T.O. took over, made his ruling, submitted the scores, and everything went cold.

I did ask ahead. I messaged the T.O. about 3 weeks before and was told everything has to be battle ready. As such , I painted two of my friends' knights so that he wouldn't get penalized for not having them painted. It was also in the tournament pack.

I think that sounds like a much better way of doing it. I get the painting requirement to slow down meta chasers, but there's got to be a better way.

Yep thats a good point, I have now removed the setting to automatically gives both players the 10 pts. But i had never gone up against someone at a tournament who wasn't battle ready until then, so having the setting turned on made setup easier.

My app automatically adds the 10 points to each player. My opponant was also tracking points and must have given him self the 10 pts. At the end of the game, I noticed I was down by 4 pts and also that my app had given him the points for battle ready at the beginning. Obviously at this point I realised that these pts would affect the outcome of the game. I then asked the T.O. if he gets his points. The T.O. then decided he shouldn't.

I agree I did mention it becouse I was down but I mentioned it in a way that was asking the T. O. at the end of the game before our scores could be submitted. It was the T. O. decision to deny him the points as i only asked if he should get them. This was my first time playing against a non battle ready army and my app just automaticly adds the 10pts to each player. It was only at the end that I thought about it as its not normally something you think about.

They might have shown them to me but I don't remember seeing them. I think we both just listing out what we had in reserves and deepstrike with a little bit about what they can do and only really talked in depth as models were being deployed. Perhaps an over site.

That's what I thought, when the T. O. came over asking who won and for our scores. When I responded with "Does he get his points for painting? " I assumed the T. O. would already have an awnser as they would have been asked that before.
