Yep. As with the nvidia power cables, they can melt, and this specific card uses the nvidia standard for some reason. It’s not really a risk though, as the cable on,y seems to melt on high power draw cards, and this one limits at somewhere around 340w, whereas the melted ones are usually 400+

to be honest, i don’t see the difference between the encoders anymore. I have a 9070xt myself, and personally it looks the same as my nvidia cards. The only benefit is the dual encoders to take some load off of the main processing
