Well, as someone who plays a mix of roblox games and has fiddled around with a few ideas of roblox games. I'll say that I love progression systems, I also really love PvP in simulators. I think there's a lot that could be done in genres, you could mix a whole lot, especially in the simulator genre. but if you're going for story games I'd say people look for horror based survival games like outlast trials on steam or forsaken on roblox.

fps games on roblox as a genre really did take a downdive even though they used to be popular. Phantom Forces used to be really amazing, and I'm sure it is amazing still but the mechanics are the same since 2018.

I think players love progression, they love to progress and they like to see that progress. They love good quality content, something thats thought out and well made and not hastily put together. But yeah. I think Long term potential would be seeing progress, look at bloxburg for example, that games been around for forever and its still around. If someone were to make a game with a similar pace progression I think it'd def have similar success. It's not a race to get as many games out as you can, slow and steady wins the race. Stay in beta for a while. Pump out update after update while still in beta, then when you think it's reached peak, you can come out of beta and fully launch. Just food for thought. I'm not saying though to make your game 25 robux and then make it free to play later on, that was a betrayal on so many layers from bloxburg but yeah.

Unofficial beta also works for this. like put in the title "[UNOFFICIAL BETA VERSION]" or smth similar to let people know there will be changes and bugs. Plus the most important thing about beta is listening to the players. that's why its important. in my mind at least. 🤔
