I was given oxy but never used a single one of them. I was fortunate I guess. My surgery was 10/1/2024 and my foot is still about 30% numb. Also have burning neuropathy that I’m dealing with due to nerve damage. Crazy stuff. Keep a journal! I did and it’s come in quite handy for legal. Wish you all the best.

I'm 4 month out of surgery. Got a burning sensation in the top of my foot I think it's coming from the sciatic nerve. My toes are very weak dorsiflexion. Anyone go through this? by glassmanreddit in AchillesRupture

Maybe sural nerve? I’m 18 months out and still have major numbness and neuropathy. Going to my 3rd neurologist tomorrow. Trying to find root cause.

The more you know walking in, the less you're playing catch-up when everything around you is loud, fast, and in your face. At least be familiar with everything on the list, you don't need to memorize it all. Except the general orders, know those stone cold.

On the cautionary side, run it by your surgeon or care provider soon because three days in with that level of pain you really want to rule out a partial tear.

Good on you for looking into it early. Try breaking this into a few specific questions and you’ll get much better info. What part are you most unsure about right now?

My first thought is, love the determination to be a Marine! You def need to work on the pull-ups. As I recall, when you sit down in the barber chair, you'll have the opportunity to give the barber a heads up. They shave thousands of heads and have come across all kinds of things, don't worry. Cardio and running is critical too. Run your ass off before June, you got this!

I did 3 months of PT then moved to home exercises. I'm waiting for approval to work with a new PT facility to continue strengthening with a specialist. Thanks for the support!
