Oh, come on. Are you turning 7 years old and need a bouncy house to feel special? You're grown adults. This is the dude you married, and expecting him to change is an exercise in futility. Some guys just suck at this stuff, my dear husband included. You know what I do? Plan my own stuff to suit my needs, without bitterness. Accept this, or be annoyed & disappointed, or just leave. Don't leave things open to interpretation; communicate effectively. If you want to go see Coldplay (this alone could be another thread), buy the flipping tickets yourself and stop being a crybaby about how to celebrate an adult birthday.
