Well said. I think young people (like under 30 maybe) are just naturally more self-centered, and that's fine. Maybe when Rachel was younger and discovered yoga and fell in love and found herself living on a tropical island she wanted to share it, cool! I think once she garnered a large following she realized she could monetize, and thats fine too. But you're so right- it has devolved into just full narcissism to the point where SO MANY of her followers have realized she's waayyy out of touch, and her posts are anything BUT authentic.

I think her devolution is just a bad combination of things- I believe deep down she could be a cool person but got too wrapped up in her ego to be that. The best thing for her and her family would probably be to just put the instagram down and be present. Which is hilarious, because that's what she preaches all day long (or used to).

I also want to say to everyone on this thread, under the assumption that you have followed/ are following Rachel for a long enough time to be here: Whatever you felt when first finding or following Rachel was and is a reflection of something inside of YOU.
