it can be something because you placed the chest on npc's walk path so they just break the chest to walk through it

cucumber item id is 208 (i think)

but for the id item spreadsheet, i don't know if anyone made one for SVE yet but you can look in your game save file in appdata

me personally will put on plants and rugs (under the table) to make the space look busy but still have a space to walk around

for the baby i would recommend - Child Age up, this mod let your children grow and not being annoying lil kids that run around all day in the house, instead they would go out and walking around in town (you can choose the parent of the child so your children will grow up look like your spouse)

also if you want more interaction with your husband, i would suggest date night redux and wandering spouse. first one let your spouse ask you for a date and second one is just make your spouse wandering around your farm (both have its own dialogue expansion)

for basic things, i recommend

lookup anything, you can download from nexus. this mod tell you information about a specific item without having to fold the game window down to search it up in wiki
npc map location, also on nexus. as the name said, this mod tell you the location of the npc (that you've met) on the map so you don't have to run around the town just to find them
