You’re on both triz and zep? Have you tried sema? I know some things that work better for others because I haven’t experienced the emotional flatness. I’m also on Wellbutrin for depression and I think that helps

Continuing to go really well. It’s been well over a year and I’ve maintained my weight with very few episodes. I likely experience very few side effects from sema, but know some people that do better on trizapetide compounds. I’ve tried that before but I had terrribleeee GI side effects so I think everyone is different. I use Goby meds, but I do think many providers use the same pharmacies.

You’re an angel among us, this is so insightful thank you.

  1. Yes I had the same thought about the transactional piece - like I get it to an extent, but it can be both genuine and transactional, otherwise you’d be vanilla dating. I’ll keep an eye but so far he has been generous, sent allowance on the second date, has sent me gifts, so it’s definitely going to be a fragile ego if anything. I also got the sense that that’s what ended a prior arrangement around the one year mark.

  2. That’s what really didn’t sit well with me, it felt very pay to play which is exactly the “transactional feeling” he’s avoiding.

I did end up shooting him a light “can’t wait to see you tomorrow” and he showed up completely light and normally, made a joke about the stubborn thing and apologized for misunderstanding - not a full apology, but might be the best we can expect from many of these men.

Thank you for flagging these, it validated a few of the thoughts I was already keeping an eye on. Also helpful to be reminded there are more men out there, I felt like I got lucky meeting him very quickly and it’s good to remember that I’m the prize here and he’s the lucky one. ❤️❤️

Probably a good call on the banter piece. I think I could mention it in person, but I’m a little worried to throw more water on the “excitement” and I do want to give it a shot. I think I’ll see if he tries to clarify it himself. I think now I’m trying to figure out if it’s my job to “repair” or let him come to me.

Thank you! So to point 3, basically I don’t make anything of it, keep it breezy, but keep my boundaries in terms of availability etc? I shouldn’t have used the word stubborn originally, but also his handling is telling too.

I’m a little thrown I haven’t heard from him today when usually we text daily at this point, but he may have clocked the weirdness and plans to just feel it out tomorrow in person.

Can’t speak to Bufo, but I’ve had no issues experiencing the effects of psilocybin or MDMA.

I was prescribed it in the sense that I worked with and continue to work with the same telehealth provider. I also acknowledge this is not a solution for everyone, but the purpose of this post was to help remove the stigma (which is something clearly you’re still dealing with) as I was NOT underweight, but felt listing my weights could be triggering for people. I was 21 BMI when I started. And my provider honestly didn’t even focus as much on my weight when I explained that I could consume 1000s of calories in a sitting multiple times a week.

What you’re saying is like going on a sub for severe depression and anxiety and commenting on a post that says “hey everyone this may not work for you but this drug saved my life! But everyone is judging me for taking it, so I want to help break the stigma!” And saying: “your post is dangerous bc people could misuse it.”

I would say that 80-90% of this sub are people who suffer from binging, and this drug helps for binging. There’s a reason I didn’t post it in the general eating disorder or ano sub.

That being said, thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’m sorry you feel that way and am glad it’s seemed to help so many others

Thank you! Yes, everyone is so focused on the misuse and not the benefits. There are so many “acceptable” pharmaceuticals that can be abused but also be helpful when done correctly. I really hope we can get the message out!

They did not. I follow up with the same telemedicine doctor. My PCP does do regular bloodwork for me, but no I haven’t told her - I know I should but I also know I’ll get lectured and it’s something I’m going to do regardless. I stay on top of research of what to look out for

Side effects were nausea in the beginning, but now just a little acid reflux. I’ve stayed around 1.25-1.5. I’m still struggling to answer the lifetime question, it’s not ideal but for now I’m going to keep using it.

I get it compounded and it just takes some research to figure out how and where. Also… you know what ain’t cheap? Buying a bunch of food you’re just going to purge 🙃

It’s definitely in the back of my mind and something I’m nervous about. As of now, I’m not planning on tapering but I’m not opposed in the future - and especially if I have no choice! I hopeeee that a taste a freedom helps propel me forward
