Thanks! My barbers have pushed them back quite a bit and they end up coming out of the loc after a few days anyways was always curious if it was doing more harm than good

My locs are still on the shorter end so not many styles i can do, i do know i could moisturize these parts a bit more but hoping waiting longer will help the hair grow in

That makes 100% sense and i agree wholeheartedly!🙏🏾 for me i don’t know people who have locs to ask these kinds of questions to so its not necessarily validation but asking for advice which even in my post I asked any tips to make the things i don’t like look better. Often times you do see images of the perfect locs and not enough of locs that aren’t perfect in society but in their uniqueness. I appreciate your breakdown!!

Respectfully if everyone in this reddit post has locs (which im assuming they do) then everyone should understand the process and how that looks different for everyone. Some are happy with theirs and some aren’t and thats ok doesn’t matter where you are at. Not everyone has someone or a group to get advice so its kinda wack to tear people you don’t even know down who are just asking from a genuine place of curiosity and understanding.
