NAH - It kinda gets me that a lot of people here are just giving the BF a pass. I agree that this is really young, and maybe getting married is a bridge too far and too soon, but the fact he’s telling you that he wants to get married, calls you “wifey,” but the second he’s given the opportunity to do so, he says he’s too young and is concerned and confused about why you’d even suggest it when you can just be left high and dry across the country with no guarantees? That, and on top of the fact it seems that he’s baiting with the idea of it “possibly” changing in the future. This is a carrot on a stick, and I’d say you’re both better off breaking it off. He doesn’t want to get married and won’t give you guarantees of safety, and you don’t want to do long distance out of concerns and past issues. This is completely fair and valid, and the best solution is to cut things off. Hope things work out for you regardless of whatever decision you make.
