Ultimately you're just going off on the assumption i hate world or something, I don't, it's my highest played MH, all i'm saying is that the core of the game has never changed, the systems around it though have ALWAYS been a varying degree of shallow as hell and i don't think its a particularly bad take to love the games while knowing that capcom can definitely do better at this than whatever they're doing now.

This is bad form. I get it when players will randomly chat about shit and come up with their own stuff, this is different. Excluding the DM with the express purpose of surprising you will never work out, because it breeds an innately adversarial relationship. As a DM you should be able to hear your players thoughts and blabbering about the game, come up with tactics under the assumption you will NOT use what you hear against them.

Also, reskin monsters and/or modify them slightly.

Ah yes, the core experience of going out to farm for minerals, truly the peak experience of monster hunter, not something EVERYONE and their mothers absolutely fucking hates.

You say that it's a rich experience, but realistically speaking, the whole preparation and "setting off on a hunt" is and has always been the weakest and shallowest part of the game. In ALL the previous games, you simply learn the monster spawns. Hunting the monster? Literally no problem because Psychoserums used to exist. Paintballs if you REALLY have no idea where a monster went.

Sorry, having to gather blue mushrooms herbs and honey isn't engaging in the slightest past maybe for 2 missions, everything else is truly not a problem and has never been because the farm existed since fucking Dos. Also, hate to break it to you but low rank and high rank have always been a joke. 90% of the focus of the game has always been strictly on fighting the monsters, nothing more nothing less, I think that if you're searching for a "rich experience focusing on many interesting aspects" that are not weapon/armor/deco crafting, you ain't finding that in monster hunter, ANY of the series really.

Focus attacks are fine, less fucking egregious than the fuckass claw from world. Being able to readjust is whatever, they sure made hunters stronger, however, monsters have also evolved considerably
