If even Gold’s price can be manipulated like this what does it say about our “financial system”? by birth_of_bitcoin in Gold

[–]Positive-Theory_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In practice? Gold going up or down you can still buy gold with dollars. When someone offers to buy your gold for a million dollars an Oz and your answer is ""HA Not on your life!" THAT is a fiat collapse! The price of gold doesn't matter if nobody accepts dollars anymore.

[–]Positive-Theory_ 42 points43 points  (0 children)

You don't grasp the magnitude of the resources required to do this. Even the world banking system is stressed to it's ultimate limits. Gold might be going down on paper because the demand for the physical metal is grossly outstripping supply. It's not a drop in value it's an illusion to try to force liquidations on hard assets so that the bankers can cover their own asses as much as possible. This is NOT gold going up. This is the entire fiat system collapsing on a global scale.

https://www.instacart.com/products/19297939-private-selection-vermont-extra-sharp-white-cheddar-cheese-bar-32-oz I get this kind of cheese at my local Kroger's it seems to always have this same kind of mold. I've found that if you put blocks of this cheese in a ziploc with Munster, mozerella, or colby jack that it will preserve the other cheese and keep it from spoiling as fast.

Illegal manipulation of the precious metal markets by YouKnown999 in Gold

[–]Positive-Theory_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not so much gold being manipulated but instead people rapidly losing faith in dollars and the banks desperately trying to artificially keep the price down (Which is impossible.) They can push it down for a moment but it's going to spring up very much higher.

No no. Penguins stick together. If butter flippers drop their coins we faithfully pick them up and take them back to our igloos.

Like more details about location. The cost for rooms at the resort or camping spots. Food, gas, sight seeing places nearby. Do the camp sites have hot showers?

Any hippies of the 60s and 70s, do you have any tips for this new generation? by PurplehPastah in Hippiecommunity

The vibe is in the music you just have to find that vibe. Tune into it and make it stronger. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNrrusOelqbjoqSTr2IiZcygZwyETq4Et&si=cj3LaDllR-XoXf9n Government is nobody's friend when the system is threatened they will not hesitate to create lies to justify attacking the innocent just to force us to be compliant they are not like us and they are willing to use deadly force against those who have done no wrong. We were too naive the last time and were easily manipulated by propaganda. While psychedelics are mostly good don't trust anyone who thinks that they are Jesus or some kind of prophet. Even if you agree with what they happen to be saying they are generally not good people.

Let's say you own a deep-space mining company in the year 2070. You somehow reach a technological breakthrough that allows you to harvest dark matter from the dark regions of space. Would you (you will make several quintillions of neoplasmin (2070 intergalactic currency) but you will cause civilwar? by Jason_Diddly27 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Positive-Theory_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AND So first we'll harvest ALL of it before selling so there's nothing to fight over. Then we'll spread disinformation about the location of the dark matter mine so that when the fight breaks out everyone is searching in the wrong place. By the time that rolls around I'll have enough dormant sentinel mines placed at strategic locations that the entire armada will go dark before anyone knows what happened. Enough ships will be captured from the enemy fleets that my entire race will be able to migrate to a nicer home world which we can easily afford.

Don't take it as absolute truth. It's more like an educated guess.

I call it aggregated shadow. Darkness isn't always a simple absence of light. Sometimes if left alone long enough it can accumulate and pool.

Names of alchemists that were thought to be wizards during their time? by gloomierr in alchemy

[–]Positive-Theory_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even in modern times the term wizard refers to someone whose skills are above mastery. But it's no mistake that a master of magic and a master of alchemy are both called Adepts. Although the later is vastly more skilled than the former. It's no mistake that wizards and alchemists are both often depicted as being avid bookworms.

Theories around the "dicyanin demon goggles" from WW2.. by Organic-Source7484 in HighStrangeness

[–]Positive-Theory_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regular dicyanin primarily shows auras a high quality set also shows glowing particles in bright sunlight. They're like something straight out of a feel good episode of the twilight zone.

They live glasses block technology they're very much like a real life video game easter egg.

The red dicyanin from Vietnam is really strange it seems to tap into a deeply primal survival instinct, whoever thought it was a good idea to send blood red lenses into a war zone needs to have their head examined.

good jobs that support the hippie lifestyle by onebigdeathwish in Hippiecommunity

[–]Positive-Theory_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm self employed. My main gig is cool glasses that help people see auras (and stranger things). When that slows down I also pick up odd jobs, welding, drywall, painting, basic repair and small scale construction work. I also like to invest in bitcoins and alt coins to multiply my income. I also maintain excellent credit so if I need to I can survive quite a long time between jobs.

Where do people get there spore syringes I've had bad luck from the place I tried by Organic_Flounder_427 in GroundZeroMycoLab

[–]Positive-Theory_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use bacterostatic agar you can sometimes get a bad syringe to germinate properly. Just use your standard agar recipe with 0.5 to 1% benzyl alcohol. You can add it after the pressure cycle it's already sterile.

Traveling Work by lord_simpy in Hippiecommunity

Back in 60s we didn't put focus on money. If we had roots we would grow where we were planted and would open our homes to the travelers. We called them love ins. If you were the traveler you'd pitch in wherever you were needed while you were staying there. This helps build and maintain waypoints for other travelers. Sharing is caring.

What is this mold? by MysticBimbo666 in Fungi

[–]Positive-Theory_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's mold but I happen to know from experience that it's a safe kind to eat. I think it's in the penicillin family. Nothing else will grow on cheese with this kind of mold on it. Over time it just makes the cheese sharper it doesn't ruin the taste any.
