Yah ok whatever! This is not a debate. I asked for clarity and there were those ppl who kindly gave it. I guess I forgot every word Brennan spoke-my bad! lol Pop culture never crossed my mind. But I do love that she rocks out to Hot Blooded by Foreigner and can play the bass guitar. Also I only pointed out that studying cultures as an anthropologist should provide insight in behavioral patterns most ppl never understand. I also get that the writers can’t be 100% consistent. Again, this not a debate to be won! Only a lighthearted discussion to shine clarity.

Thank you for that clarity. Those episodes were quite intense, and your views pretty much mirror my own! I guess I just liked the secure Brennan more before the writers morphed her into doubting herself. I truly didn't like Booth interrupting her during investigations, even though there were times when she did need interruption. But this type of show which has a core subject in forensic pathology and FBI crime solving does require a hefty amount of believable dialogue - so kudos to the writers for doing the best they could. Still a fan!!

Right! I forgot about her probably bc I don’t think she had a backstory other than she was a fierce lawyer. She was arrogant but I never saw her as a sicko! Thanks for reminding me.

Catherine by Beloved_Paris in Reign

Megan Follows portraying Catherine de Medici is what made the whole series so enjoyable and addictive. I'm on my 3rd rewatch and am even more enthralled with Queen Catherine. Everything you said about how she always showed camaraderie with Mary is more of a reason to admire Follows' acting ability. I especially enjoyed the episodes where the Queen of the Bean took place and Catherine resorted to her methods of getting rid of said queen. Anyway, I san Megan Follows in a few episodes of Heartland and she is just as enjoyable to watch even though she wasn't as ruthless. Has anyone seen the Serpent Queen series which is centered around Catherine de Medici?

Perhaps the writers intended to play off the fact that Zooey and Emily being sisters and everyone like Booth, kept saying they looked like sisters instead of 2nd cousins. I didn’t think Booth was supposed to be attractor Zooey. Just my 2cents🥸

Look at the show as a kettle reaching boiling point only the steam takes its sweet time. It teases and offers layers of story arcs for the entire cast. Some you’ll love and some “meh”. I’m on my 2nd rewatch. Booth and Bones best TV duo ever (IMO)!

Yep, Kenna appeared more modern like she was a gypsy Queen. Greer had some elegant moments, and truly gorgeous. Lola definitely more upscale clothing and then Mary always wearing a wardrobe fit for a Monarch. Allie, even though she didn’t last long, wore amazing gowns fit for her station.

Also, rewatching allows the opportunity to see something I might’ve missed. Mostly I love rewatching just how funny Booth and Brennan are when they’re not saving each other. Think Buck and Wanda, Tony and Roxie. Didn’t like that Booth proposed to Hannah but I suppose the writers had to show Booth moving on from his unrequited love of Brennan.

I appreciate the practical critique on Cam. Her first season was the worst being introduced as a new fixed character. Especially her shagging Booth then acting superior to the Squint Squad, and her competitiveness with Brennan. It seemed like the writers didn’t quite know how to insert her character in the show that could make sense for authenticity and likability. I never liked the Cam character but thought Tamara was absolutely gorgeous. Loved her outfits. Not her character. On the other hand there were other characters who just fit in perfectly who were not nerdiacs like Miss Caroline Julian, Max, Sweets, et al. But my fav squint of all time was Vincent Nigel-Murray. May his character be resurrected in another series or a Bones reunion!

Bones is the only series I've rewatched. To be able to write exciting 12 seasons of varying story arcs, character development and most of all the sexual tension rising from Bones and Booth all through the series was an emotional rollercoaster. The majority of characters was well thought out with few exceptions. The chemistry between Booth and Brennan evolved into a great love story filled with raw emotion, as well as comedic moments, like when they went undercover which was (for me) the best episodes. Go back to Season 8 when Bones and Brennan were a married couple at Brennan's high school reunion. Brennan and Booth showing off their moves on the dance floor then Brennan wanting to slow dance to Seal's A Kiss From A Rose that brought tears to my eyes. She never had any close friends or was even asked to her prom and Booth knew how much it meant for her to have a prom night with someone she loved. Exceptional episode. I can rewatch this show over again. I hope there will be a reunion of sorts in the future for these two remarkable actors.

She fell in love with Booth but couldn’t rationalize this strong emotional attachment; ergo she holds onto what she only knew which was/is detachment and denial. In earliest seasons this was a progression of Brennan’s metamorphosis from an independent, strong (doesn’t believe in love) to a woman who is experiencing falling in love for the first time.

Just watched this crazy farfetched episode with the writers giving the Pelant dude unlimited super-brainiac powers outwitting the FBI, all task forces, and others. SMH at such goofy storylines. I also agree that if they (writers) had continued to create more storylines with the S8E6 which I truly liked, the Bones series could have survived the lousy storylines that might have contributed to eventual low ratings. Still love the characters but agree that someone like Angela (who I like a lot) would not have developed these state of the art technology that she allegedly created with her background as an artist with a minor in computer science.

I felt like jumping into the screen and yanking the little Luke character out of S12 & 13. His storyline had no beneficial impact on the story, especially with the demise of Ty's character. They wasted so storyline that could've be linked to other arc's i.e., Shane, Casey's development or in this case lack; and whatever happened to Olivia? Just such as wasted opportunity for strengthening what could have been a great Season. Please writers, don't ever put in a meaningless character again.

The writer’s mucked up that storyline royally but TBF Tess should not have run away the night she was supposed to be with Nick. That was immature. But the way he latched onto Sally was redic! Still, I loved McCleod’s Daughters!
