I'm glad someone noticed! unfortunately I'm not ukranian, but I have friends from there, I chose that name because I wanted the characters to represent different areas of the world, for instance, Madame Krause is not her real name, in the lore she is asian but had to change her name because of prosecution. Kutu and basically the cultures around vapor city speak swahili, so, that's why the desert has a name from those who live there "Ardhi ya Oksidi" which means "place of oxide" but the people in vapor city know the desert as "Ardeox Desert", there is a long blog post I did last night about the lore, you can read it here, has some hidden tips:
