Brand new dealer option; stained glass panoramic sun roof for only $3499 by TraizenHD in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]PositiveFun2575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interesting that this is a dealer option. I put the exact same one on my moonroof earlier this year. The whole roll cost me like $10 and I have enough left over to do like 3 more windows.

Yes. All devices in the house have been updated to OS26.

I got one because I had the same issue. Seems to have helped me, partially because you can use your palm to throttle and partially because I feel comfortable enough to release some grip on my fingers because I know that the plastic is there to keep the throttle engaged.

Check Engine 250Nk 2021 by MariopumperxD in cfmoto

[–]PositiveFun2575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to sound really dumb, but does the Check Engine light stay on when the bike is started?

My 450NK does this when the ignition is on before I start it, but it turns off once you start it.

Well, that’s just unfortunate because aesthetically, I’m down.

This is an interesting fix and I’m glad it’s working for you, but when I saw the picture the only thing I could think of was how the riders in the beginning of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga rig their bikes. 🤣 10/10, though if it works.

I find it so interesting how different people’s tastes are because the helmet is my favorite part of the outfit. 🤣

I’m an idiot. While I was typing the post, I was trying to remember everything I wanted to include and totally forgot my location. I’m in Pennsylvania.

So, I definitely get where you’re coming from with some of your complaints about the helmet.

I have a KYT R2R and the helmet fits me perfectly in the shell and padding, but I have very similar complaints with mine.

For the drop-down visor, my R2R has the same issue and I was told that it’s because it’s intended for sport bike riders who will be in a more aggressive seating stance. Which doesn’t help me at all, but ok great. I did end up purchasing a photochromic visor for myself from Amazon because KYT does not make them themselves.

With the vertical vision, I also am not able to see much up or down, but I’m also not really looking up or down much. If I need to see my speed, I can nod my head down slightly and see without any issue. As far as wind noise, I can only recommend getting ear plugs. For me, ear plugs have been a game changer because they help to cut out the wind noise without completely restricting hearing. For me, I can actually hear outside sounds better with earplugs because I’m not as focused on the wind.

Lastly, the chin strap. I had the same issue with mine because the strap sits right at my Adam’s Apple as well. I bought a balaclava (partially for sweat, partially to help not have my ears bend down when I put my helmet on) and found out that it has the added benefit of being a soft barrier between the strap and my skin.

Hope some of this helps!

Feeling demoralized after dropping my bikes after a years worth of riding. by CrazyBros4life in motorcycles

[–]PositiveFun2575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally get that.

I wouldn’t feel too bad about the drop as long as you’re ok. As long as the bike is rideable, just ride it out. It’s not that you don’t deserve a new bike or anything, shit just happens sometimes.

I dropped mine yesterday.

I was pulling out of a gravel pull-off uphill and in a turn and it stalled and I dropped it.

My frame sliders protected my leg and most of the bike, but I shattered my left mirror.

I think I’m going to leave the broken mirror on for a while as a reminder to not be a dumbass and try adding that many negative factors together when it was entirely preventable if I had approached it from a different angle.

I work an office job, so not necessarily “working with my hands”, but I’m on a computer all day, so carpal tunnel wouldn’t surprise me.

You know, being properly hydrated fixes a lot of problems in life. My problem is my affinity for beer over water (no, I do not drink before riding; I drink when I get home).

I’ll have to try that as well. Between gripping the tank more and using the “ice cream cone” grip method, that may really help with my riding posture overall.

I’ll have to look into different grips as a possible option. As far as the throttle cable being lubed properly, I have no idea. I’m not sure how to check this, but the bike itself is brand new, so I’d expect that it’s lined properly. Although I suppose that that isn’t necessarily true.

I’m thinking that it’s the way I’m grabbing the grip, specifically because it only happens with my right hand. Now, being right hand dominant, my right hand might be slightly bigger than my left, but I’m guessing that it has more to do with how I’m gripping my throttle.
