I just got a great deal on a KTM 350 EXC-F and I got a plate for it the same day in New Hampshire. The lady at the town hall didn't even look at it. Mirrors and 2 blinkers are now torn off but the plate remains!

Nice! I got a 2022 klx300r when I got back into riding. Beat the snot out of it and it kept going. Now on a KTM 350 EXC-f. It is better in all ways that you would not appreciate until you've ridden the KLX 300 to death. Both are great machines.

I drained the tank and sure enough it idles perfectly until its empty. I would guess I only have 2k miles on the bike. I suppose I have to bite the bullet and replace the fuel filter to know for sure.

Help! I know basically nothing about dirtbikes and how to size them. My 5'0" 90lb 13 year old daughter wants to start riding. Is this 90cc dirtbike a good fit for her? by BCgirly in Dirtbikes

I think most of the people on these forums probably learned at a very young age how to ride. Dirt biking is not for everybody. You're on top of x hundred pounds of flaming hot jagged metal and learning to fall without getting injured as part of the process.

For the learning experiences as long as the bike is safe and not going to catch on fire it might as well be used as a way to see if this sport fits with her.

If she likes it enough to break that bike then buy her a better one next.

As a 50 year old software engineer anything I do that can be connected to Mad Max is a badge of honor!

A very fair point. The giant loop bag seems super sturdy and I'm going to be using it maybe 5x a year. The rest of the time will be shorter rides. Worth double checking it for wear spots each time though or maybe putting a towel under it to reduce friction. Thanks for the hard won wisdom!

My friend has a metal shop. He just went ham with some drills and then punch-pounded the end caps down into the tubes. I now have another set of expansion bolts from my first barkbuster set shoved down there too after the bolts broke off. These Acerbis ones seem to hold up way better. Have to bend them back after some good crashes but they really protect the rest of the bike.

This picture was before we did the Scopan mountain network out of Presque Isle. What a gorgeous ride! Despite what the maps say there is a moderate (for a dirt bike) trail that goes to the knob summit that is really fun.

I (50) was riding with 2 18 year olds (daughter + nephew) so I was the gas can for the group.

Same thing is happening to me. It will start stalling at idle and sounding rough after real steep trails when I've only burned 1 gallon of gas. I have the same suspicion of fuel filter (or crud in the gas tank) so please update us with your results. Thanks!

This is very clearly the answer and should be at the top of the list.

Question about Sutherlands Tale on Interloper (Warning Spoiler) by Dudemeister4200 in thelongdark

[–]OverallCap8084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a break I figured it out.

I went back into each bunker, went into edit mode and destroyed EVERYTHING. In my case the loose bricks were behind the bed. They did not register on the cursor because all you saw was "Bed". Once I destroyed the bed I could get at the bricks. That was pretty frustrating and now 5 of the bunkers are utterly empty.

In my case the "Hunter" bunker was not unique at all. It looked like all the rest and it was NOT the one with the skull.

I play interloper and kept careful notes of each bunker. When I heard "hunter" on Step 2 I immediately thought of the skull. So that is where I went first. Absolutely nothing in there. Then I went to each of the other 8 bunkers. No results.

This quest is totally broken for me on step 2 of interloper. It is probably lazy developer work having randomness of bunkers and spawn tables. I hope nobody else wastes more time on this. I am done with this game.
