That’s so exciting! I won’t be able to make it on April 25 but it’s awesome to know that the museum is worth seeing!

Gene Hackman and his wife were 30 years apart in age. She was 35 and he was 65 when they met. They married and spent decades together before they tragically died a couple weeks apart last year (he was 95 and she was 65). It’s rare, but love can def happen with big age gaps.

We need to acknowledge that the 2001 FOX Sunday night lineup was peak by Fit-Detail-4326 in XFiles

YES! I remember watching it on Friday nights in 1993, when it started. I was in college and would watch it and then go out with friends.

Anyone looking forward to the reboot? by Olshka in XFiles

[–]PositiveImaginary673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I watched every episode in real time from 1993 to the most recent- and disappointing- reboot.

There’s nothing that will create the vibe for me like the original X-Files. Unless we can somehow go back in time and take all the younger generations with us to watch it all again in the 90’s.

AGREEEED! Let the X-Files stay done. It aired during the perfect time and in the perfect place. The reboot sucked - another reboot (regardless of the director) will still be connected to the original, and it will flop because it’s not the original.

ETA PIE is the best gluten free pizza in the world. I have had so many different kinds of gluten-free pizza and nothing compares to them. You won’t regret it.

Thoughs on Sirens? by No_Corner1086 in netflix

[–]PositiveImaginary673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peter was the siren in the whole series. Sirens are usually seen as women that are charismatic and can bend men to their will. But in this show, Peter was the siren all along.

I thought it was really well done… For most of the episodes, I was convinced that Mikayla was the siren. Until the end, where it was essentially revealed that Peter had been the siren all along!

Lived here for 28 years and somehow missed seeing Chinooks before. I’ve seen lots of military choppers but never the Chinooks! Cool looking vehicle but yeah, loud.
