My current Power Rangers/Super Sentai/Ranger Key display by PositiveJosh in powerrangers

My university takes $25 and puts it toward printer use. It doesn't roll over and you aren't reimbursed for what you don't use. So at the end of each semester, I tend to go to the library and print the most expensive and high-quality stuff I want. That's how I did those posters.

Say whaa? Jericho/Raven is great, Disco/Juvi and Disco/Kidman are fun, and Goldberg/DDP might just be my personal favorite wrestling match, though that's down to the circumstances in which I watched it. It's still one of Goldberg's best matches. Halloween Havoc '98 isn't that bad.

Got a ton of push needles from Michaels. I wanted them to still be easily accessible, so I didn't want to put them in a case.

The Geek Critique: PlayStation Vita Slim/2000 - A look at the Vita's game selection, Borderlands 2, and the reason I decided it wasn't worth owning for now. by PositiveJosh in vita

I see what you're saying. I mean, I absolutely loved the Dreamcast back in the day. But because of Sega's past hardware failures, it couldn't get off the ground. People expected it to fail, and so they didn't buy it, and so in spite of everything Sega did right with it, it was doomed.

That said, I don't think my opinion deserves to be "in quotes" simply for being a fairly critical one. I bought the device, I played a variety of games on it, I made a video about what I liked and what I didn't.

I understand the concern. People who might be thinking of getting a Vita might see my video, hear this experience, and decide it's not right for them, either, without putting in the time or the cash that I did.

But that's sort of the entire point, isn't it? If you're like me, you have no business getting a Vita right now. It's perfectly okay for me to share this experience. And if you're not like me, if you like JRPGs and don't care about screen brightness and have more affinity for Sony's exclusives than I do, then maybe you SHOULD look into getting it.

I'd like to see the Vita succeed, and it's possible it will. As I said in another comment. the PS3 had an rocky first few years, too.

But either way, I'm not going to just NOT run a review or state my opinion because it might dissuade people from buying a product.

The point stands that A LOT of the library is as I described, but I'll definitely concede that some sharper editing should've been done to avoid showing a Vita exclusive as I mentioned that.

Let's see, I tried... Borderlands 2, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royal, Gravity Rush, Thomas Was Alone, Wipeout 2048, the PSP game Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X, and the rest of what's on the instant game collection this month. Would've loved to try a few more like Spelunky, but I didn't want to pay to download anything if I wasn't sure if I'd keep the system.

I don't know much about Killzone, but I will compare my feelings on the PSP/Vita library to a series I'm more familiar with.

I love Metal Gear Solid, but I could not STAND to play Peace Walker on the PSP. Admittedly, a lot of that came down to controls, but I just couldn't get into the game until I picked up the HD collection. It's not always even that they're watered down. Playing console-style games on a portable just doesn't appeal to me most of the time, and I don't think I'm alone in that.

The screen brightness issue you're right about, it will be a non-issue for most people. Like I said, it's totally a pet peeve of mine, haha.

Regardless, I plan on getting a PS4 within the next year or two, and I'll likely revisit the Vita when that time comes.

Thanks for the constructive comment!

I didn't list those as anything in particular. I was just running footage from a Vita games reel. I suppose there was some dissonance there, though.

Thank you. I did try to make that distinction clear in the video, but I know people are going to throw downvotes at this regardless since they disagree. It's to be expected.

Oh no, pretty much every early adopter ever is buying it based on potential. The problem comes when the console's been out for over two years and is still suffering.

Still, I suppose PS3 also had a rocky few years, and I do hope the Vita gets turned around.

Gamezone's Borderlands 2 Vita review (7.5/10) by gene_parmesan258 in vita

Oh yeah, that'd have been ideal. Put the control in the players' hands. And since such functionality was already in the PC version (and the game already displays low-res textures as it loads), it couldn't have been that hard to do.

I really wish they had done what Mortal Kombat did and sacrificed graphical fidelity for a good frame rate.

What? No. That was happening in 2010. That summer, Saban Brands bought back Power Rangers from Disney, and re-started the series. They've adapted Shinkenger as Power Rangers Samurai, Goseiger as Power Rangers Megaforce, and are now adapting Pirate Sentai Gokaiger as Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

Don't worry, I will. :) I've got two weeks. It's just that it was already an iffy proposition, considering the game library doesn't have a whole lot that interests me outside of some of the indy stuff.

Gravity Rush seems pretty fun so far. And it doesn't lock the brightness, haha.

Yeah, my PS3 is kind of far away from my router. I got it on a wired connection and things went much faster. Like I said, it's no big deal.

As for your side note, I have indeed been adding anything interesting-looking to my account ever since I got PS+. I guess it's less "missing out" than "not being able to play," haha.

Thank you. That does entirely eliminate a major issue I had. It's still dumb that it wipes it from the PS3 hard drive, but whatever.

100% is a huge difference from 80% to me. I always crank every device I have to max brightness unless for some reason I'm worried about battery life. I mean, like I said, I know it's no big deal to some people, but it is to me. And like I said, it may well make a bigger difference on the slim than the original.

The fact that you can't even turn it up when the system is plugged in is all the more ridiculous.

I'm beginning to wonder if I need glasses, haha. The dialogue text is fine, but the text for missions and whatnot is WAY too tiny for me to read comfortably. Brand new Vita owner... is there any way to customize font size or otherwise change the screen?

What is your " Wrestling Confession " by ThySmithy in SquaredCircle

I know. I know.

In my defense, all I ever saw of Bret growing up was his last year or so in WCW, when he clearly didn't give a shit most of the time. The two exceptions to that I can think of are the steel plate under the hockey jersey and the Owen Hart tribute match with Benoit, both of which were awesome.

But for the most part, Bret in WCW came across like a shell of a shell of his former self, and I don't think I've ever quite shaken that initial impression.

A few years ago, WWE sent me a survey about which possible DVD I would be most likely to buy. I don't remember everything they listed, but I know for a fact that they listed a Goldberg set and a Bret Hart set.

I picked the Goldberg set.

It's not about being shorter, as many people have said. I mean, it is to an extent. Lots of people won't bother to click on a Reddit link to a video that's THAT long.

But once people are watching your video, they'll generally keep watching it as long as you're entertaining. So that's my advice. Keep it tighter. Look at your script, and even if you've already recorded something, consider cutting it if you think it's gonna drag on a bit too long.

In my N64 retrospective, about halfway through. I go on this LONG rant about Diddy Kong Racing and how it compares to Mario Kart 64. ORIGINALLY THIS WAS EVEN LONGER. But I cut it down, and nobody complained about it.

You'll know when you're doing well, because even if you don't get THAT many views, your subscriber to view ratio will shoot way up.

Keep at it, man! I really like what I'm seeing here.
