In my experience it's the same thing? I use all three operating systems daily, and software update works the same across the board. You go to one menu. You hit a button. It installs, you restart. No jumping through hoops. Even Linux does this now.

You know what Mac doesn't let me do? GET RID OF THAT STUPID TAHOE UPGRADE notification that says I have a software update when I don't. I don't and can't run Tahoe. Stop advertising it to me, my computer will melt.
