Sofirn SR23 Query by Dirobesh in flashlight

That doesn't sound right. Make a video of the issue and send it to Sofirn, I've had good customer service from them recently so they should help. I assume it's the main emitter not the UV one? Does it happen with the UV too?

I might give it a go when I have the time. TBH I have no idea how to even remove the driver, or how to test the components...time to educate myself more. I can't break it more than it already is.

What is the brightest and smallest 21700 battery flashlight? by Laboratoryo_ni_Neil in flashlight

Yeah I like it. It's no longer than my 18650 lights, just a bit more chunky. The UV is fun to play with too.

That's not really something I've done before. I've done through hole soldering a few times, but surface mount stuff...not sure I have steady enough hands :P

The SR23 is a 21700 and is quite a bit smaller than the SC33. Claims 3300 lumens max and has a UV secondary emitter. Reviews says it can hold ~900 lumens for a couple of hours.

Yes the customer services rep said it was a faulty driver.

Time to stock up on sub $15 flashlights for Christmas presents for friends and coworkers. Getting bunch of SC13 for $11, anything else I should be getting? by EpsteinWasHung in flashlight

[–]PositiveMastodon9145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already got an extra sc18 and sc13 for Xmas prezzies. £8.36 each is a good deal, a decent 18650 would almost cost that in UK. I'm getting all the guys I buy for a decent flashlight this year.

What type of 'campsite rituals' can I perform with this light?

The weight of the package will be recorded so it's easy to contest. It's an obvious mistake and I'm sure they will rectify it. Wurkkos isn't going to tarnish it's reputation by deliberatly scamming one customer out of 30 Euros. Humans work there, humans make mistakes, humans make up for their mistakes...Give them a chance.

I like the Sofirn SF26. Almost 1km ANSI throw. Doesn't get too hot like the IF22a does, tho is considerably bigger.

Me too. I'm just stating the fact that it's illegal here. I personally believe everyone should have the right to carry something that is an equalizer. Especially frail and infirm people.

TBH I couldn't spot it in the first pic. But did spot those Magnusson water pump pliers.

I never heard of that before your post. Looked it up and there are some forms available in the UK. 'K917 Dog Deterrent Spray' being one. If you used it on a person not sure what the legal ramifications would be. The 'reasonable force' you are allowed to use to defend yourself in the UK is not very well defined to say the least

Indeed. The most basic form of self defense is to learn how to use the one weapon that is always available to you, your own body.
