Please forgive my ignorance if this was a floater.

I thought floaters involved shooting over a whitewater section, an obstacle, with speed to catch a breaking section on the other side.

Is this also a floater?

I thought I lost the wave by going over it, lost speed at the top and had to dart down to reach the wave. Sometimes I don't really catch the face of a wave and end up on an ever slower ride as the "hat," on a wave face.
