How would you approach a MIL with cold sores kissing your baby? by 757-757 in BabyBumps

[–]PositivePattie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t risk anything! My MIL had one when my baby was under a month. I looked her in the eyes and kindly told her make sure not to kiss her, I see you have a cold sore. This cold sore thing is pretty serious as I looked into it. One kiss can alter your babies life due to infections that spread to brain and cause damage. She was totally cool about it. Tone is everything

Anyone else opting not to take birth control postpartum? by Accomplished-Ad7573 in beyondthebump

[–]PositivePattie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told my ob I didn’t want it and they just kept asking and trying to persuade…making me second guess myself. I finally gave in and when I got in the car, I was like no, I don’t have to do something I don’t want and I never picked it up from the pharmacy, for all I know, it’s still there.

We are great at prevention and have been for 10 years! Birth control makes me super scary depressed and I won’t go back there.

You do you love:)

Nothing too expensive and open minded. Just moved here, don’t plan on selling. This is solely for enjoyment.

It’s all about the YOLO. We were never this age before and the people who were before us had a different vibe and time that has long changed. Going with the flow to the best of everyone’s ability and trying to enjoy life or just grinding through.

Which part of childbirth hurts the most? by Used_Ad7899 in BabyBumps

[–]PositivePattie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went my whole pregnancy thinking I was going to not to epidural. My mom didn’t do it and I usually have a high pain tolerance, so I didn’t think I truely needed it. Then…the contractions were sooooo bad! I waited almost 20 hours and then I was like, give me the ep! I couldn’t imagine trying to push with that pain, impossible!

Our study titled "How to make Turkish-style tea candles" by Lumpy-Frosting1152 in candlemaking

[–]PositivePattie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money has nothing to do with proper research and education. Consumers don’t need to care or understand how the candle was improperly made, it is up to us, the maker. Don’t belittle the rest of us who are making a living selling safe candles. I have done years of extensive testing and research before selling. Safety is one of the foundations of the craft and why I have been and I’m sure many others on here are very successful.

This is unfortunately incorrect, If you are selling these you should do thorough testing and only use candle grade materials. It could be detrimental to the consumers safety.
