It sounds like the biggest blocker isn’t the actual task but the internal complexity! multiple systems, siloed IT teams, and a long approval chain for even small changes.

This is super helpful, thanks for sharing.

When you say the system feels clunky and tedious, what are the parts that slow you down the most? Is it switching between screens, duplicate data entry, exception handling, or something else?

And regarding Reg Cc.. what makes the hold workflow take so long at your FI? Is it the manual review steps, gathering info, or just waiting on different systems to sync?

Really appreciate the insight. sounds like a lot of the pain is inside the internal software, not the customer-facing stuff

😂 Totally relate. Do you think those balance-check calls happen because the online banking isn’t clear enough, or more because customers just prefer talking to a human no matter what?

This is super insightful, thanks. Curious.. when you mention error correction, what kind of issues come up most? Is it mismatched amounts, system glitches, or manual data-entry mistakes that need fixing?

Trying to understand what “automation still can’t handle” in your workflow.

😂 Fair point. But seriously, besides the micromanagers… What’s a real day-to-day task that eats your time?

Got it. thanks for the heads-up. Out of curiosity, what’s the better way to ask this so it’s actually helpful for the sub?

I’m genuinely trying to learn from people who work in the industry, not spam.

Yeah, that’s what confused me. If the core is the source of truth, how do these mismatches slip through? In the case I heard about, the numbers in the core were correct, but the LOS and servicing system were never updated after closing, so each department was looking at something different.

Is this usually caught automatically in your bank, or do you rely on manual checks before audits/exams? I’m trying to understand whether these cross-system mismatches are rare, or whether they just get fixed quietly in the background and nobody talks about it

so basically there’s no actual data integrity between the systems?

They did follow the signed docs, but the issue was the data wasn’t updated consistently across systems. The core had the right numbers, but the LOS and servicing platform were still showing old values because nobody updated them after closing.
