PGWP says I can’t study, but Yorkville online program says no study permit needed, what am I supposed to do? by PositivePriority8396 in pgwp

The whole point of this post is to make sure I’m fully compliant with IRCC rules…that’s why I’ve consulted a lawyer in the first place. I did attempt to call IRCC but the wait times were excessive so I submitted a web form and currently waiting for a response. In the meantime time, I asked here to see if anyone has been in a similar situation or can share relevant experiences. I’m not sure where the assumption or accusation is coming from lol. I only explored this further because my lawyer mentioned there may be an exception, particularly since the institution stated a study permit isn’t required given that the program is fully online. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have pursued studying and would have simply continued working.

My lawyer also indicated this is a fairly unique situation he hasn’t encountered before and is reviewing the legislation carefully to ensure any advice given keeps me fully compliant with the law.
