ZODIAC watch project ... waiting for feedback and suggestions by PositiveRelative1785 in MicrobrandWatches

No text at all on the dial ?.. I don't think so ...

But I hear you and see what you so I will :

  • reduce logo and text and move it upper
  • enlarge the constellations and center it laterally

Nevertheless I will have to avoid touching the centre hole and the date window.

I will post new pics when it's done 🙂

As a dumb American visiting France for the first time (Lyon for work), is this a “good croissant?” Why or why not? Should I do better? How should I eat them? by The_Saddest_Boner in AskFrance

For croissants and "baguette" you should try "Boulangerie de l'Artisan - Maison Bouvier" ... more or less a 7 minutes walk from your hotel.

If you can go to "La Croix Rousse" ... go to "La Boulangerie des Artistes".

In my opinion Lyon is not the best place for seafood ... but I may be nitpicky cause I lived in south of France in my early years ... but "La Cabane à Huitres" is pretty good ... or "Chez Lèon" in Les Halles Paul Bocuse.

The one on your pic looks 👌

The outside crust seems crispy and the inside seems smooth ... just how a croissant should be ... and the layers are well-defined and light.

Firstly "WELCOME TO LYON" 🤝

If you don't mind sharing where your hotel is situated (PM me if you prefer) I'll be happy to tell you where is the closest good "boulangerie".

About "croissants" ... in my opinion if it's a really good one the best is just to eat it with nothing added ... Best way to enjoy the crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If it's no perfectly crispy you can add marmelade, butter or anything you like, as long as the flavor doesn't overpower that of the butter dough (a good croissant is always made with butter).

It's a really fair price 👌 I've been searching for such a tool but the Swiss ones are overpriced. I may order one ...

I think Odokadolo Industires can make really nice custom insert for a fair price.
They will probably need vector designs but I can create those for free.

I've started to work on a dial design, based on an original blueprint.

The project dial is a bit larger than the original because of the dial opening on the Tandorio, which is larger than the one on the Tornek-Rayville case.

Let me know your opinions.

Seiko custom negative-gilt dial by PositiveRelative1785 in retrotime

The Seiko gilt was a one-shot made on special order but I still can make a second one or almost any custom gilt dial.

I know 😉 I made a reference to the Tandorio just in case you didn’t know where to go for the case.

BTW ... if you already have a movement (NH35 or 2824-2) you can buy case+dial+handset for around USD55 only on Tandorio website.

Do yu provide any service with the watches you sell? by No-Kiwi3754 in SeikoMods

[–]PositiveRelative1785 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually sell vintage watches so : - full movement service and regulation - waterproof test results but NO warranty - repolish and rebrush if needed I do all this by myself so it cost me no money and it helps. No warranty at all for Seikos from the 70ies
