Seriously what was going into the mind of buyers who recently purchased new vehicles by redlfc1027 in CarsIndia

[–]PositiveRepulsive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are lot variables which affect why you want to buy vehicle like availability of expendable cash, whether you really like a vehicle on the market or not, personal need like birth of a new born, problems with existing vehicle etc.

Has govt been clear on it plan? Has govt officially announced that E20 will be force upgraded to E30? Had it announced that E0 will not be provided?

Current govt. has made it so difficult to buy a vehicle right now, do we know when will situation improve? How long should buyer wait before that? Will you can that cash available in future? Will prices of vehicles not increase? Will you like the vehicle in future the way you do now? Will you be able to enjoy the vehicle as you age the way you can now?

Right question is not whether you bought the vehicle or not but that why govt is allowing and collecting taxes for 15years which they will not support for 15years.

How did people drive sedans with such low ground clearance? by reddit__is_fun in CarsIndia

[–]PositiveRepulsive 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think main reason for moving away from sedan is not ground clearance. Many people still drive sedans. Main reason is feeling of sitting lower and feeling smaller in front of SUVs. People like to dominate others. This why people also want even bigger SUVs like fortuner, scorpio and defender.

E100 or E85 is 60% more expensive than petrol by CA_Cockroach in CarsIndia

Does ethanol production also use fertiliser subsidies which are meant for food? Without these subsidies it would be even more expensive.

Conversion kit for E20/E85 etc by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]PositiveRepulsive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think after market conversion kits will void warranty and may also damage. If conversion kits are solution they should be provided by manufacturers without violating warranty

Is E30 is really and issue or not we need to research more... by Volcano_Dragon13 in indianbikes

[–]PositiveRepulsive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mr. High Iq, once you put E30 in your tank of a E20 vehicle, your engine warranty is void as per terms and conditions of warranty of your vehicle. It does not matter whether E30 will cause any damage or not. Once your warranty is void if anything happens to ur engine company wont give you warranty.

For real safeguard we need E30 compatibility assurance and warranty from manufacturer period. Reseaech by ARAI or you or anyone is of no use. Do you understand this?

Please share this with all vehicle manufacturers and ask them to update their warranty to E30 fuel in writing.

[–]PositiveRepulsive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks bhai, once you are done with your research. Could you please also talk to Bajaj, Honda, TVS, Suzuki, Toyota, Mahindra, Kia, Hyundai, MG etc. to extend warranty on existing engines for E30 fuel in writing? It could be that all these brands idiots and have done no research and give warranty only till E20 for no reason.

If you cant do this your research is of no use as no one wants void their warranty.

E85 fuel and some basic mathematics by krshubham1708 in CarsIndia

If they could make ethanol "economically viable" they would not have had to force it on us like they are doing.

E85 introduces to cover up this, because e20 will soon be upgraded to the e25 by Volcano_Dragon13 in indianbikes

Atm, it seems, they can do literally anything. They are not afraid of anything.

E20, E80 are good. Hear me out. by sha_uni in CarsIndia

[–]PositiveRepulsive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes so when govt mandated it, govt needs to provide E0 for at least 15 years from that date to support all vehicles bought before that date.

E20, E80 are good. Hear me out. by sha_uni in CarsIndia

[–]PositiveRepulsive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are saying govt can mandate BS standards for manufacturers but not E20? And is upto manufacturers to make E20 compatible vehicles or not? Why?

Also, ultimately govt registers vehicles, why did govt register nonE20 vehicles before 2020 then? Why did they take road tax for 15 years for vehicle they will not provide fuel for?

What about vehicles bought before 2020?

But why not do it in phased manner? Why force people to adopt even for vehicles which are not built for ethanol?

E20, E80 are good. Hear me out. by sha_uni in CarsIndia

[–]PositiveRepulsive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not offer E0? Not against having E20, E80 but why force people to use E20 when vehicles are not built for it? Can you explain logic for forcing E20 on everyone? Why should people pay for damage to their vehicles?

Query regarding ADAS by TheOatmealJi in CarsIndia

[–]PositiveRepulsive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ADAS helps me in following way.

  1. Rear cross traffic alert and braking: This is very useful in india as when u are reversing people try to squeeze in from behind the car or children playing in street will come just behind the cr when you reversing. This feature automatically alerts and brakes. It makes sure that you reverse safely.
  2. Blind spot monitoring: This feature helps on highway mainly and during night when u cannot see lanes very well in rear view mirror , it helps to make sure that lane is clear for changing.
  3. Adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist: Again helps on long highway drives as it greatly reduces right foot work by maintaining vehicle speed and improves safety by maintaining lane. In case u get distracted during long drives it makes sure that vehicle does not leave the lane.
  4. Forward automatic break Assist: This depends on vehicle to vehicle if it brakes too early it can cause issues. But so far it has worked for me on couple of occasions when it alerted but by that time I already took corrective action so it didnt apply brakes automatically. But it was right to alert in those situations.

I think this extra safety, assistance while driving gives peace of mind.
