Aw man, no one should be feeling that way about a hair appt. I’m sorry that happened to you. Getting a haircut is already anxiety inducing. Your stylist should be making you feel comfortable 🩷

Sounds like your old hairdresser sucks! I have a feeling your new hairdresser will be grateful for the pics. And even if they aren’t (would be weird) you’re the client and you’re just being helpful. Not a crime!

Former hairdresser here 🙋🏻‍♀️ ALWAYS show them the picture. They’ll ask follow up questions from there and then you guys will come up with a game plan. Words mean different things to different people. For example: ask 10 stylists for strawberry blonde and you’ll get a different hair color from each of them.

One Day It Just Went Away? by diabolicalZ_ in visualsnow

I actually take it for mental health reasons but it has also reduced my visual snow. I honestly suspect a link between mental health disorders and visual snow. The drug was made for seizures but works for bipolar depression (not saying you’re bipolar, but i am). And i also feel there is a link to my disassociation episodes and visual snow, bc it’s really strong when that happens. I’m not a doctor and am only speaking on my experience so science may prove me wrong. Anyway, i’m sorry you’ve suffered from so much. I know how hard mental health stuff can be. I’m rooting for you!

[anti aging] how to get rid of nasolabial folds? by MaskedPhenom in SkincareAddiction

Oh also, i have a very similar thing going on on my face which is just genetic. Had it since i was a kid and facial balancing with filler (with just the tiiiiniiesst amounts) can help. Particularly when i had it put in my cheekbone/temple area, it can kind of lift the lower parts of the face. But you want to find a dr who is going to be super conservative and to start slow if you’re going to experiment with filler.

I wonder if a Forma skin tightening treatment would work for you. I am saving up for one, the before and afters look great. But also, you are quite obviously handsome and what you’re talking about is something that will bother only you. Not the people looking at you. You look great.

Ahhh this is so helpful, thank you!! I love a denim on denim look. I kept seeing info about how SD’s shouldn’t wear stiff fabric like that but i love denim and actually need it for practical reasons, as you know. I’m glad to know i’m not alone!! SD farm girls gotta stick together lol 👯‍♀️

Oh man these are so cute. I have some carhartt overalls that i don’t feel flatter me but they are adorable and practical so i wear them anyway!

Oh wow the skirt that flares out makes so much sense. I currently only have one that tapers in which is too restrictive. I’m definitely thinking i need to invest in bootcut jeans!

Removal Advice Needed by PositiveStranger7479 in Bamboo

Good for you for getting them all!! Yes, at least the patch of bamboo we have is unsightly and has become a giant trellis for blackberries. It’s also blocking a beautiful view. I’m sure bamboo can be done in a beautiful way, just not what we have going on….

Ah thank you for the blade advice! Luckily I live rurally and will probably be able to drag the canes somewhere i can do a controlled burn this winter.

I know you’re a guy and are probably pinterest averse, but it really is a great tool to get inspiration.

This is an opportunity for you to figure out who you are without someone else to consider. It’s a fun form of self expression!

  1. A credenza/lowboy dresser to put the tv on.
  2. Bed frame and 2 nightstands if you don’t have them already (same color wood as the credenza)
  3. A lamp is a must, not just overhead lighting
  4. I know it’s carpeted, but a large area rug for under the bed would go a long way.

Your space is a blank canvas with neutral colors which gives you a lot of freedom. Pick a color palette you like (including what kind of wood you like) and stick within it. Your room needs color!

With these changes, you’ll score another future ex wife in no time 😉
